Compete from the final qualifying round of the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards World Cup 2025
The last World Cup Billiards tournament that Frederic Caudron appeared in was in Sharm el Sheikh - Egypt in December 2024. In the final tournament in 2024, the Belgian player stopped in the quarterfinals against the Italian "veteran" Marco Zanetti (who later won the championship). Since then, he has gone through 2 tournaments under the World Billiards Union (UMB) system in 2025, the World Billiards Cup Bogota - Colombia (March) and the World Team Championship in Germany (early April), but Caudron did not participate.
The player nicknamed “genius” of billiards will return to the second round of the World Cup in 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City in May. Vietnamese 3-cushion carom billiards fans have reason to be excited, as they will soon be able to directly admire the beautiful balls of Frederic Caudron. The venue of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Billiards World Cup promises to be very exciting during the days when Caudron competes. Because, the athlete born in 1968 is the 3-cushion carom player with the largest fan base in the world, as he has a fast playing style and very eye-catching attacks.

Based on his position on the UMB rankings, Frederic Caudron will compete from the 4th qualifying round of the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards World Cup 2025. This is the final qualifying round, very close to the main round (32 players). With his class, winning a ticket to the round of 32 to face the world's top names such as Dick Jaspers, Tran Quyet Chien ... is not a difficult task for the Belgian player.
Caudron still struggling…
Frederic Caudron left the Korean Professional Billiards Association (PBA) tournament and returned to his old home UMB from 2024. Notably, the place the Belgian player chose to return to is also Vietnam, with the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards World Cup in May 2024. Right in the first round of participation since returning to UMB, the Belgian genius went from the first qualifying round to the quarter-finals.

By the end of 2024, Frederic Caudron will have competed in 5 World Cup Billiards tournaments. The 57-year-old player has reached the quarter-finals twice (Ho Chi Minh City World Cup and Sharm el Sheikh World Cup) and the semi-finals once (Porto World Cup - Portugal). Caudron's best achievement after returning to UMB was the runner-up position at the Veghel Billiards World Cup - Netherlands in October 2025. Notably, in the final of the Veghel World Cup 2025, the Belgian genius lost to Vietnam's number 1 player Tran Quyet Chien.
Frederic Caudron joined the PBA and left UMB in 2019. Previously, the Belgian player dominated the UMB playgrounds and was part of the "record-holding squad" with 21 World Cup billiards championships and 3 World Championship titles. But up to now, the player born in 1968 is still struggling to regain glory in the UMB tournament system, specifically the World Cup stages.
