"A paradise" for ecotourism

Speaking with a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Luong – Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Nam commune (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province), said: "The locality is striving to complete the targets to achieve the goal of advanced rural development by 2025 and effectively and on schedule implement the 'Cu Nam Cultural Tourism Village' project, meeting the requirements for recognition as a provincial-level tourist area, becoming an attractive destination for sightseeing, relaxation, and entertainment in the North Central region."

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Luong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Nam commune (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province), Cu Nam commune achieved the new rural development goal in 2018. Thanks to the new rural development program, the commune has a spacious, clean, and beautiful appearance, meeting the needs and aspirations of the people; social welfare is ensured; culture, education, and health are developed; political security and social order are guaranteed; and the material and spiritual lives of the people are increasingly improved.

In particular, after the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee approved the "Cu Nam Cultural and Tourism Village" Project in 2021, the local Party Committee and government disseminated information about the purpose and significance of the Project to officials, Party members, and the people throughout the commune.

To implement the "Cu Nam Cultural and Tourism Village" project, the commune has invested in infrastructure suitable to the local situation and has developed plans and vocational training programs to develop human resources.

Along with developing and improving existing ecotourism destinations, community-based homestays, and farmstays, and strengthening efforts to attract investors, the locality continues to promote environmental protection and landscape preservation to ensure that it satisfies and attracts more and more tourists to the area.

The Bitter Cloud Hill ecotourism site is located in Cu Nam commune (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province).

According to the leaders of the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, the unit aims to ensure that by 2025, the Cu Nam Cultural and Tourism Village will meet the criteria for recognition as a provincial-level tourist area; becoming an attractive destination for sightseeing, relaxation, entertainment, and recreation in the North Central region, based on exploiting existing advantages in indigenous cultural resources, natural resources, and key, distinctive agricultural products, creating momentum for the sustainable development of community tourism in Quang Binh province.
