Enjoy organic ink, water filters… at Da Nang Youth Creativity Festival

On October 12, Danang University coordinated with the city's Department of Science and Technology to organize the 2024 Youth Innovation Festival with the theme "Digital Transformation - Innovative Startup Space".

The festival helps Da Nang students to interact with businesses in the fields of science and technology, innovative startups, and exchange with prestigious speakers.

More than 60 scientific research topics and young creative products of Danang University students were introduced at the festival, attracting the attention of many businesses, researchers and students.

Hundreds of students visited the booths displaying unique inventions and expressed their interest in the inventions there.

These are all award-winning products in student scientific research competitions at all levels, startup idea competitions, innovation competitions, etc.

Many products apply breakthrough, trending technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), big data, blockchain technology... applied in a variety of fields such as: healthcare,education , industry, environment...

There are also many products that are very close to real life, created by students with many new ideas that make visitors excited and surprised. Such as smart plastic sorting devices with the desire to spread and practice the habit of sorting waste in the community, at the same time providing an effective solution to collect plastic waste for recycling.

Or the dirt suction system in the water tank, can be applied immediately in practice, ready to receive orders.

In addition, products such as ink and paint from discarded vegetables by a group of students from the Vietnam-UK Research and Training Institute in Da Nang, a Braille printer for the visually impaired, or an initiative to apply artificial intelligence to support self-driving cars, etc. also attracted the attention of delegates and young people.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quang Son, Vice President of Danang University, said that this Student Science and Technology Festival gathers student inventions as well as ideas, suggestions, and feasible solutions to develop Danang University sustainably and promote contributions to local and national economic and social development.

At the program, Danang University awarded 11 Student Scientific Research Awards for the 2023-2024 school year, including 2 First prizes, 3 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 3 Encouragement prizes with a total prize of 124 million VND.
