10th grade entrance exam for Gifted High School on May 24 and 25

According to the 10th grade enrollment plan for the 2025-2026 school year of the Gifted High School, students are eligible to take the exam when they meet the following conditions: conduct and academic performance for the entire school year of junior high school classes from good or higher; junior high school graduation ranking from good or higher.

The enrollment quota for grade 10 of the Gifted High School for the 2025-2026 school year is divided into specialized classes corresponding to the 2 learning facilities as follows:

District 5 Campus (study location: 153 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Ward 9, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City, organized in the form of one-session study), including 7 specialized classes: math (1 class), computer science (1 class), physics (1 class), chemistry (1 class), biology (1 class), English (1 class) and literature (1 class). Total quota: 245 students, each class has no more than 35 students.

Specialized classes at District 5 will focus on training in-depth knowledge of specialized subjects, improving logical thinking skills, combined with STEM educational activities, experiential activities and career guidance in the orientation to become an expert in a specific field related to the subject.

Thu Duc Campus (study location: Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area, organized as a boarding school), includes 10 specialized classes: math (2 classes), IT (1 class), physics (1 class), chemistry (1 class), biology (1 class), English (2 classes) and literature (2 classes). Total quota: 350 students, each class has no more than 35 students.

Specialized classes at Thu Duc campus will focus on training interdisciplinary thinking skills with a foundation in solving problems in the fields of natural sciences and technology and social sciences such as: natural sciences, life sciences, computers, business and management, technology, engineering, languages, culture, economics, politics, society... combined with experiential activities to orient related careers.

According to the Gifted High School, candidates are required to take 4 exams, including: 3 compulsory non-specialized exams: math, literature and English; 1 elective specialized exam from the following subjects: math, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, literature and English.

Each candidate can register for a maximum of 2 specialized subjects in the elective specialized subject exam. In case of registering for 2 subjects, candidates must ensure to choose 1 subject in each group (group 1: Math - Literature; group 2: English - Physics - Chemistry - Biology - Information Technology).

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year of the Gifted High School will take place on May 24 and 25, 2025.

The Gifted High School said that all registration for the 10th grade entrance exam is done online at the school's registration portal. Parents and candidates who are interested can come directly to the school's District 5 campus according to the schedule (separate notice) to register at the computers prepared by the school.

Registration time is from 8:00 a.m. on May 5, 2025 to 5:00 p.m. on May 11, 2025 (including Saturday and Sunday).
