Compared to previous years, the price of fresh flowers on Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20, this year tends to increase. However, this does not mean that consumer demand has decreased, especially in the high-end fresh flower segment. According to flower shop owners, after the recent storm, many flower gardens in Me Linh (Dong Anh, Hanoi) were flooded and damaged, so the current supply is still mainly imported from Da Lat.

At fresh flower shops on Luong Dinh Cua, Kim Nguu, Tran Xuan Soan streets,... fresh flower baskets priced around 500,000 VND to 1 million VND are chosen by many people.
In the lower price segment, with flower bouquets, the selling price ranges from 120,000 - 300,000 VND/bouquet. In addition, many customers also choose to buy fresh flowers to decorate their homes. In particular, fresh roses are sold at around 10,000 - 30,000 VND/flower; lilies are priced from 25,000 - 50,000 VND/branch (depending on the type); gerberas are priced at 100,000 VND/bouquet (10 flowers/bouquet)...
According to the owner of a flower shop on Me Tri Street (Nam Tu Liem), although the gift market on October 20 is very diverse, fresh flowers are still the top choice of customers. Most of the customers are companies, organizations, and agencies ordering flowers, but there are also many students and young people buying fresh flowers. Therefore, the shop has enough segments to meet the diverse needs of buyers.

According to Ms. Lan, a flower seller at Quang Ba flower market, these days, from early morning to late night, business people are always "busy". Normally, on October 20th every year, the number of customers doubles, sometimes triples compared to normal days. Roses, gladiolus, and even large bouquets of lilies are the best sellers. This year, the price of flowers is a bit higher, but sales are quite stable.
Not only flower stalls and fresh flower shops are popular. On the streets and corners near universities, small flower stalls of students are also quite popular. Although not as beautiful and professional as flower shops, these small flower stalls are also the choice of many students to buy flowers because the prices are cheaper.
Along with that, the fresh flower carts of the women and street vendors are also attractively displayed, attracting passersby. “Although selling flowers on the sidewalk, there are still many customers. Most of the customers are students and office workers, they like neat bouquets of flowers at reasonable prices,” said Ms. Hoa, a vendor on Phan Dinh Phung Street.

Not only selling in the traditional form, the online market is also very attractive to customers and has many orders. "If you are too familiar with the gentle and sweet flower colors, then yellow-toned Phalaenopsis orchid is a unique gift for October 20 - dedicated to elegant women who always have an optimistic spirit", the owner of a fresh flower shop promotes products on the online channel.
Each shop and each merchant has their own customer segment as well as different ways to attract customers. For example, the flower shop on To Huu Street not only sells flowers but also provides unique flower decoration services according to customers' requests. "I often suggest customers combine many types of flowers in one bouquet, creating a more novel and impressive look. This helps retain old customers and attract new ones," said Mr. Quan, the flower shop owner.

The fresh flower market was bustling on October 20. Ms. Hang, a resident of Ha Dong, shared: “Every October 20, I usually choose bouquets of red roses or carnations to give to my mother. This year's flowers are beautiful, fresh and the prices are quite stable.” Saving money on breakfast, Minh - a student at Le Quy Don High School in Ha Dong also chose to buy a bouquet of red roses to give to his teacher.
Flowers are always a symbol of spiritual life, love, beauty and an indispensable need in our spiritual life. And Vietnamese women are always the most beautiful flowers.
