Pepper price today, November 6, 2024, in the domestic market remained stable in some key localities, trading from 140,000 - 141,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, pepper price today in Gia Lai is at 140,000 VND/kg.

Pepper prices today in the provinces of Dong Nai (140,000 VND/kg); Dak Lak (141,000 VND/kg); Dak Nong (141,000 VND/kg); Ba Ria - Vung Tau (141,000 VND/kg) and Binh Phuoc (140,000 VND/kg).

Thus, maintaining a stable momentum, domestic pepper prices today remained unchanged in key growing areas. This is the third consecutive day of stability in the domestic market. The highest pepper price is at 141,000 VND/kg.

According to pepper exporting enterprises, although turnover has increased sharply in recent times, they also face many difficulties in the production and business process.

For example, the high price of agricultural products, especially coffee and pepper, has made it difficult for export enterprises to purchase raw materials. Many orders have suffered heavy losses when they had to buy at high prices to deliver goods to partners. Meanwhile, farmers' psychology of stockpiling goods is still high. This year, agricultural products have good prices, so families have made a profit, they are not in a hurry to sell pepper to collect money to cover expenses like before.

In the world market, at the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 6,671 USD/ton, down 0.18%; the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at 6,400 USD/ton; the price of Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA at 8,500 USD/ton.

Muntok white pepper price is 9,133 USD/ton, down 0.19%; Malaysian ASTA white pepper price is at 11,000 USD/ton.

Vietnamese black pepper prices are trading at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 6,800 USD/ton for 550 g/l; and 9,500 USD/ton for white pepper. IPC continued to reduce Indonesian pepper prices at the beginning of this week.

The International Pepper Community (IPC) cited data from the International Trade Center (ITC) and said that Türkiye's pepper imports have increased sharply in recent times. In 2023, the country imported 8,819 tons of pepper, an increase of 40% compared to 2022.

In the first 8 months of 2024, Türkiye's pepper imports continued to increase by 9%, reaching 6,500 tons. Of which, Vietnam is the main supplier, accounting for 69% of the market share with a volume of 4,466 tons; followed by Brazil with 931 tons, accounting for 14%; Iran with 494 tons, accounting for 8%...
