Poor households in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Vu Ban town (Lac Son) receive new essential items and supplies from donations and support.
Like the cultural houses of the streets in the town, the cultural house of Tan Giang street has become a place to gather items donated by people in the street with the sentiment of sharing difficulties "little, much heart". Ms. Phung Thi Huyen, Head of Tan Giang street said: The motto of the program is to mobilize families in the street to donate any unused items. After 10 days of launching, it has been shown that the resources among the people are not small, and can help and share with many people in difficult circumstances.
According to comrade Pham Thi Chung, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Vu Ban town, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the 2024 - 2025 period aims to bring a solid home to families facing housing difficulties. With the joint efforts of the entire political system, all levels, sectors and people, many households in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses have built new houses that meet the 3 hard criteria (hard foundation, hard frame - wall, hard roof) and are safe. However, due to difficult circumstances, after devoting all resources to building houses, many households do not have the conditions to buy essential household items and appliances. The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the town has recently been completed with 21 households benefiting.
Implementing the direction of the Party Committee, the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the town have coordinated to establish a model of "Contributing supplies to share difficulties with households in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the period of 2024 - 2025" with the purpose of donating supplies and items for daily life, mainly unused items to avoid waste, to households in need of temporary and dilapidated houses. The model acts as a bridge to receive essential supplies. Accordingly, calling on the Party cell committee, representative committee, front working committee, agencies, unions, associations, religious organizations, businesses, businessmen, philanthropists, cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces and people to participate in supporting and contributing supplies to households in difficulty.
Receiving new items from the community, Mrs. Bui Thi Nhon in Com Street emotionally expressed: In addition to the State's support fund for housing, my family has tried to save and borrow to complete the house, but furniture and appliances are still lacking, such as no fans, trays, basins, gas stoves... Thanks to the spiritual and material support of organizations and individuals, my family and households in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses have reduced their difficulties, quickly stabilized their lives, and focused on economic development.
The model "Contribute items to share difficulties with households in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the 2024 - 2025 period" in Vu Ban town was launched in early March 2025. In the first phase of the donation, hundreds of people in the streets supported and shared essential items and utensils for daily life. According to comrade Bui Thi Van, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Lac Son district, the model was launched for the first time in the province, aiming to mobilize the community within its capacity to continue to help, accompany and share with households in the program, contributing to promoting the tradition of "the rich helping the poor", "mutual love", ensuring social security. This is also a good model to replicate and spread to other localities in the coming time.
