Gia Loc town is becoming increasingly spacious, clean, and beautiful.

Gia Loc town covers an area of ​​over 836 hectares, comprising 11 residential areas, with 6,263 households and 20,517 inhabitants.

Gia Loc town has over 27 km of paved and concrete roads and alleyways, all equipped with lighting systems. These roads are regularly cleaned and maintained. 100% of households use clean water and have hygienic bathrooms and toilets. Security and order in the town are stable, with no illegal religious activities occurring.

By August 2024, the average income of the town's residents reached 85 million VND, 5 million VND higher than the average income of the district per person. The poverty rate was only 0.092%. The rate of people participating in health insurance reached over 92%. Nearly 94% of households have solid houses, with no temporary or dilapidated houses.

The preschool, primary, and secondary schools in Gia Loc town have been recognized as meeting national standards. The town has achieved the target of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, and the rate of secondary school students achieving universal education has reached 100%.

Town organizations regularly mobilize to clean up and plant trees in public areas.

In 2022 and 2023, the town's Party Committee was rated as having successfully completed its tasks. Political and social organizations carried out many active activities, supporting members in economic development and environmental sanitation.

In 2023, before embarking on the construction of a civilized urban area, Gia Loc town reviewed its situation and only met 4 criteria, with 5 remaining unmet: urban planning; urban transportation; environment and food safety; urban security and order; and urban information and communication.

To date, Hai Duong has approximately 20 wards and towns recognized as civilized urban areas, concentrated in Hai Duong City and Kinh Mon town.
