Candidates nationwide officially register for high school graduation exam

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, this year, candidates studying in grade 12 and independent candidates must register for the high school graduation exam online.

Candidates access the Ministry of Education and Training's Exam Management System at https://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/ to register for the exam and register for graduation recognition.

Previously, from April 15 to 18, the Ministry of Education and Training opened a registration portal for candidates to test the test. Candidates should note that registration information during the test period will be deleted.

Candidates need to register all information during the official registration period from April 21 to 5:00 p.m. April 28 on the Exam Management System. Information registered during this period is valid.

It is expected that more than 1.1 million students will take the high school graduation exam on June 26 and 27. Compared to last year, the number of candidates increased from 1.06 to over 1.1 million, an increase of about 40,000 students. The above number is the group of students graduating this year, not including independent candidates.

This is the first exam under the new generaleducation program (2018), marking a turning point with completely new teaching, testing and assessment methods.

This year's exam is held for two groups of candidates, corresponding to the new (2018) and old (2006) general education programs.

Candidates taking the graduation exam under the new program must take four exams, including math and literature. In addition, they must choose two subjects they have studied at school (chemistry, physics, biology, geography, history, economic and legal education, information technology, and foreign languages).

Candidates taking the old program (2006 program) will take the literature, math, foreign language exams, and one of two natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) and social sciences (history, geography, civics).

This year's exam has many important new points such as: There are 2 exam sessions, each exam room can have up to 5 subjects... In addition, the number of exam codes for each subject will double compared to previous years with 48 exam codes.

Of which, there are 24 exam codes for session 1 and 24 exam codes for session 2. In previous years, the exam for all subjects had 24 codes (except for the essay-based literature subject).
