According to regulations, candidates who have completed the GeneralEducation /Continuing Education Program (GDPT/GDTX) in the year of the exam can register to take the exam online.
Specifically, candidates fill out their application online at the Electronic Information Portal prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and submit the original or copies of supporting documents to enjoy priority and incentives for the place of registration for the exam.
Candidates who cannot register for the exam online can submit their application directly as follows: fill out the application form according to the form issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and submit it to the place of registration for the exam along with copies of evidence to enjoy preferential treatment and incentives (if any).

Candidates belonging to the remaining categories will register for the exam online by using their VNeID account to log in and fill out the exam registration form at the Electronic Information Portal prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Candidates then print out the registration form downloaded from the system in 2 copies and submit them to the registration office; copies of supporting documents for preferential treatment and incentives (if any) are submitted to the registration office together with the registration form and required documents.
Candidates who cannot register for the exam online can submit their application directly as follows: fill out the application form according to the form issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and submit it to the place of registration for the exam along with copies of evidence to enjoy preferential and incentive regimes (if any).
Candidates who have completed the General Education/Continuation Education Program in the year of the exam can register online or register directly at the high school where they studied grade 12.
Candidates belonging to the remaining categories register to take the exam online or directly at the location (called the exam registration location) specified by the Department of Education and Training.
Regarding the application documents, they include: Application form, valid certificates to enjoy preferential and incentive regimes (if any); 4x6 photo taken in the style of ID card/citizen ID card, taken no more than 6 months before the application submission date.
Candidates' photos on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400x600 pixels, be taken in ID style and no more than 6 months before the application submission date.
For candidates who have completed the General Education/Continuation Education Program but have not graduated from high school in previous years, a copy of the high school transcript is required.
For candidates who have a high school diploma and are taking the exam to use the results as a basis for admission registration, a copy of the high school diploma is required.
For candidates who have a secondary school diploma and take the exam to use the results as a basis for admission registration, they need to have a copy of the secondary school diploma, a copy of their academic record or transcript of high school cultural subjects according to the provisions of the Law on Education and current guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Certificate of reserved scores (if any) confirmed by the principal of the high school where the candidate took the exam last year or confirmed by the Department of Education and Training where the candidate took the exam in case the candidate took the exam in another province.
Regarding exam registration for high school graduation recognition, candidates must register for Literature, Mathematics and 1 optional exam including 2 subjects from the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Industrial Technology, Agricultural Technology, Foreign Language.
Candidates choose 2 subjects of the optional exam from the subjects they have studied in grade 12. Candidates can register to take a foreign language exam other than the foreign language they are studying in high school.
Candidates with a high school diploma and candidates with a secondary school diploma who take the exam to use the results as a basis for admission registration only register for the exam subjects according to their wishes. For the optional exam, candidates can only choose a maximum of 2 subjects.
