5-year-old Vietnamese contestant wins special prize at Vienna International Arts Festival

Two 5-year-old Vietnamese contestants, Le Lam Anh and Nguyen Huu Minh Triet, and 9-year-old contestant Le Tan Tai, have just been awarded special prizes and certificates of merit by the jury at the Vienna International Arts Festival in Austria.

The final round of the festival recently took place in the capital Vienna of Austria, with the participation of 44 contestants from many countries, including Vietnam, Austria, Germany, the US, Japan, China, the UK and South Korea. The 44 contestants were selected from More than 300 contestants from 22 countries registered to submit their entries online. Many contestants came from countries with developed classical music such as Germany, Austria, Japan... and also professional contestants who had won many major awards and performed on famous stages around the world. Contestants were divided into four groups according to age and competed in five categories: piano, strings, wind/brass, ensemble and solo. The Vietnamese delegation, with 5 representatives, participated in the piano competition for children and teenagers. The jury of the competition included professors from the Tchaikovsky Academy of Music (Moscow, Russian Federation) and famous artists.

This is the first time Vietnamese contestants have participated in the Vienna International Arts Festival and have impressed the judges and the audience. The Vietnamese contestants have won high awards. In particular, the three youngest contestants of the Vietnamese delegation, Le Lam Anh (5 years old, Singapore International School - SIS) and Nguyen Huu Minh Triet (5 years old, British International School Hanoi), Le Tan Tai (9 years old, Tran Quoc Toan Primary School) were honored to receive special awards and certificates of merit from the judges.
