A representative of the Cau Giay District Construction Investment Project Management Board informed that recently, the Hanoi People's Council approved a plan to allocate capital for the project to build and connect technical infrastructure of land plot D20 of Cau Giay New Urban Area.
The route worth more than 38 billion VND will be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
Accordingly, the city allows Cau Giay district to temporarily use the district's budget to implement the project, then complete the documents to get the approved budget to compensate for the amount the district has spent.
"Currently, Cau Giay district has worked with the contractor and construction unit to pay the amount that the enterprise spent to implement the project. At the same time, the construction unit has arranged human resources and machinery to restart the project" - a representative of the Cau Giay District Construction Investment Project Management Board informed.
According to plan, it is expected that in the second quarter of 2024, the project of Construction and Connection of Technical Infrastructure of Land Lot D20 of Cau Giay New Urban Area will be completed and put into use.
According to Giao Thong Newspaper, the project was previously implemented using Hanoi’s budget. However, due to the lack of funding and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the progress was slower than planned.
According to the reporter, on April 12, a group of workers began installing a barrier at lane 8 Ton That Thuyet (Cau Giay, Hanoi) to prepare for the construction project and connection of technical infrastructure of land lot D200 of Cau Giay New Urban Area.
A temporary shelter was also set up in the area to serve as a living space for workers serving the project construction. A fence was erected right at the entrance of the alley, more than 20m long, 2m high, leaving about 1m for motorbikes to enter and exit.
Started in October 2020, the project to build and connect technical infrastructure of plot D20 of Cau Giay New Urban Area has a total investment of more than 38 billion VND, of which the construction and installation value is 11.9 billion VND.
The project consists of two routes: Route 1, starting at the intersection with Ton That Thuyet Street, ending at Lane 19, Duy Tan Street. Route 2, starting at the intersection with Ton That Thuyet Street, ending at Lane 15, Duy Tan Street (each route is longer than 150m).
Upon completion, both sections of the road will have a cross-section of 17.5m (7.5m road surface, 5m sidewalk on each side). Initially, the project was scheduled to be completed in one year, but three years later, the project is still unfinished with about 70% of the work completed.
People who regularly travel on this road are all too familiar with the accidents that happen here, especially during the rainy season when the road is flooded. Many people, trying to avoid potholes, lose control of the steering wheel and fall, or collide with others, causing accidents.
Previously, the Vietnam Road Administration sent many documents to local and city agencies, departments and branches requesting to handle and promptly complete the project according to regulations to ensure safe and convenient traffic for agencies and people.
