More localities finalize 10th grade exam schedule for 2024, earliest from the end of May

According to the announcement of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang , the entrance exam for grade 10 high school for the 2024-2025 school year will take place on June 2-4, with 3 subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language.

Specifically, on June 2, in the morning, candidates will take the Literature exam (120 minutes), and in the afternoon, they will take the Foreign Language exam (90 minutes). On June 3, in the morning, candidates will take the Math exam.

Candidates taking the entrance exam to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted will take the specialized subject exam on the morning of June 4.

The Da Nang Department of Education and Training requires schools to maintain teaching and review, pay attention to practicing test-taking skills, familiarize themselves with the types of questions and previous year's exams, and support and encourage students to prepare in the best possible way for the exam.

Dong Nai Department of Education and Training has just announced information on admission to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year. Of which, 2 methods are applied: entrance exams for 21 public high schools and admission for a number of public high schools and non-public schools.

As usual, Luong The Vinh High School for the Gifted enrolls students in the entire province. The remaining high schools enroll students based on districts and cities.

Candidates registering for the entrance exam to Luong The Vinh Specialized School are not counted as one choice. For candidates in Bien Hoa City, each candidate can register for a maximum of 3 choices. For candidates in Long Khanh District and City, in addition to the choice to enter a specialized class, each candidate can only choose one more choice to enter a high school in the area.

This year's public 10th grade entrance exam in Dong Nai province is expected to be held on June 6-7. Candidates will take 3 subjects: Math (120 minutes), Literature (120 minutes), English (60 minutes).

Candidates for specialized schools take an extra specialized subject exam on the afternoon of June 7.

Bac Lieu Department of Education and Training informed that the 10th grade exam in the province will be held in 2 days, May 23-24, with 3 subjects: Math, Literature, English. The time to submit application is from April 15-29.

For Bac Lieu Specialized High School, 10 specialized classes with a total of 315 students are recruited, including the following subjects: Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, History, Geography. Each specialized class recruits a maximum of 35 students. Candidates applying to the specialized school must take 3 general subjects: Math, Literature, English and 1 specialized subject.

In particular, candidates registering for the specialized IT class will not take the IT exam but will take the Math exam (the exam is specific to the specialized IT class, different from the specialized Math exam and the general Math exam).

It is known that Bac Lieu province has about 20 high schools, of which one is a specialized boarding school for ethnic minorities.

Can Tho Department of Education and Training has finalized the 10th grade entrance exam schedule for the 2024-2025 school year on June 5-6 with 3 subjects: Math, Literature, and Foreign Language. Candidates taking the entrance exam to Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted will take an additional specialized exam on June 7.

Students who have graduated from junior high school can register for a maximum of 5 wishes (NV). NV1 is Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted.

With NV2, students can only choose 1 of 2 forms to register. Form 1 (NV2a) is the first public high school in the district where the student graduated from junior high school or the Pedagogical Practice High School of Can Tho University.

Form 2 (NV2b) is any public high school in the city. Public high schools are allowed to enroll students under NV2b with no more than 5% of the approved enrollment quota.

Candidates whose admission scores are 10% or more higher than the admission standard score of the school they are applying to will be considered for this NV. NV2b is considered from high to low according to the candidate's admission score.

Registration period is from May 3-14. Students can adjust their wishes once from May 21-23. Before June 18, the units will approve and announce the results of admission to grade 10 of high school.

For schools that recruit students through examination, the examination period is from June 18 to July 23.

Hanoi Department of Education and Training informed that, as planned, in March, the Department will announce the fourth subject (if any) of the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2024-2025 school year.
The fourth subject is selected by random drawing from among the subjects in the current secondary school education program of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The Department also informed that the exam time is being studied to be announced to students soon.
