Another street in Ha Tinh implements cashless payment

The People's Committee of Bac Ha Ward (Ha Tinh City) and BIDV Ha Tinh built a civilized street with cashless payments on Ly Tu Trong Street to promote cashless payments.

Implementing the cooperation agreement on digital transformation between the People's Committee of Bac Ha Ward and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) Ha Tinh Branch, on the morning of January 20, the People's Committee of Bac Ha Ward held a launching ceremony for "Building a civilized street with cashless payment".

At the launching ceremony, Bac Ha Ward People's Committee and BIDV Ha Tinh deployed activities to support people such as: making bank cards to pay salaries for policy beneficiaries and retirees; paying electricity, water, tuition, buying and selling, exchanging and trading without using cash...

On this occasion, the two units chose Ly Tu Trong Street to build a civilized street with cashless payments. Accordingly, the stores on this street are labeled with QR codes that allow people to scan the code to pay for goods when making transactions. This is a model for Bac Ha Ward to replicate throughout the area.

Thereby, encouraging people and businesses in the ward to join in solutions to develop the digital economy, promote cashless payments and increase the popularity of QR codes in the community, contributing to improving the capacity and efficiency in management and direction of local authorities on digital transformation; bringing digital platforms, digital technology, and digital skills to the people.
