Another hospital temporarily suspends milk consulting of company involved in fake milk production chain

On April 18, Bac Kan General Hospital said that in response to information that authorities had dismantled a ring producing, trading, and consuming fake milk powder in Hanoi and neighboring provinces, Bac Kan General Hospital urgently reviewed all milk products being used at the unit.

Through review, the hospital determined that Hapomil milk products supplied to the hospital were supplied by Happy World International Nutrition Joint Stock Company and produced by Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (on the list of fake milk products produced by one of the fake milk companies under investigation).

According to the hospital, this product was put into use after a bidding process in accordance with legal regulations.

The hospital did not sign a direct contract with Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - one of the units investigated in the above case, but signed a contract with Happy World International Nutrition Joint Stock Company - the unit supplying products to the hospital - currently not on the list of companies announced to be involved in the fake milk production line.

However, to ensure the absolute rights and safety of patients, from April 12, immediately after receiving information from the mass media, the hospital proactively stopped advising on the use of Hapomil milk products in all treatment departments, and at the same time recalled all products to return to the supplier.

There is currently no official conclusion from the authorities on whether Hapomil milk products are counterfeit or not.

In case the product is concluded to be counterfeit, Bac Kan General Hospital and the users of the above milk are both victims, and the hospital commits to accompany the patients to reclaim their legitimate rights.

Bac Kan Provincial General Hospital affirms that it always puts patients at the center, constantly improves professional quality, treatment quality and ensures maximum benefits for the people.

This is the second hospital after 108 Military Central Hospital to inform about the case of warning and stopping milk consultation of companies in the fake milk production chain that is being investigated.

On social networks, many consumers also shared their concerns because they may have used milk produced by these companies in hospitals, especially milk for post-surgery patients.
