Two more international airlines open flights to Da Nang

DNVN - On the evening of April 9, the world's largest 5-star airline Emirates Airlines held a meeting with more than 100 travel agents in Da Nang to officially announce the opening of a direct round-trip flight from Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang. Philippine Airlines plans to open a flight from Manila - Da Nang from July 1.

From June 2, Emirates Airlines will operate the Dubai (UAE) - Bangkok (Thailand) - Da Nang (Vietnam) route with a frequency of 4 flights/week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 35 business class seats and 368 economy class seats.

On the evening of April 9, Emirates Airlines officially announced the opening of a direct round-trip flight route Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang.

Flight EK370 will depart from Dubai at 09:00 and arrive in Bangkok (Thailand) at 18:25. It will then depart from Bangkok at 20:10 and land in Da Nang at 21:50. In the opposite direction, flight EK371 will depart from Da Nang at 23:30 and arrive in Bangkok at 1:10, then depart at 03:40 and land in Dubai at 06:50 (all local times).

Emirates Airlines representative said that the flight schedule is optimally designed to easily bring passengers from major European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Milan, Rome or major cities in the US to Da Nang. In particular, Emirates opening a flight route to Da Nang also easily connects wealthy customers from the Middle East to the Han River City.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism , the new route that Emirates Airlines will soon launch will help promote the city to 150 countries and territories. Not only will it open up more opportunities to attract and serve tourists, but this route will also create conditions for connection, trade and business when Da Nang operates as an international financial center and free trade zone.

Da Nang will attract international tourists on this new route with unique tourism products and ecosystems, such as the DIFF international fireworks festival or tourist areas such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Danang Downtown, Mikazuki, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park... The city's destinations are preparing tourism products and unique shows to be ready to serve tourists on this route.

In addition, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said that from July 1, Philippine Airlines will open a Manila - Da Nang route, connecting the "heart" of the Philippines with the beautiful coastal city of Vietnam. Accordingly, there will be 3 round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Manila to Da Nang at 11:10 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.; from Da Nang to Manila at 1:35 p.m. - 5:10 p.m.

Philippine Airlines will also be the third airline to operate the Manila - Da Nang route. Cebu Pacific Air currently operates this route with a frequency of 7 flights/week; in addition, two travel agencies from the Philippines and Da Nang are coordinating to operate 2-3 charter flights per week on this route from March to the end of December 2025.

Da Nang International Airport said that there are currently 16 regular international flights to Da Nang operated by 28 international airlines. On average, Da Nang Airport receives 52 international flights landing each day; the number of international passengers passing through this airport in the first 3 months of 2025 reached 1.65 million, an increase of 3% over the same period in 2025.
