6,650 more children in Ha Tinh will be vaccinated against measles

To effectively prevent and combat the complicated developments of measles epidemics and ensure people's health safety, the Ha Tinh Department of Health has just issued a plan to implement the second measles vaccination campaign in 2025.

According to the plan, the whole province will have 6,650 more children of the right age vaccinated against measles, including 4,700 children from 6 to under 9 months old, 910 children from 1-5 years old and 1,040 children from 6-10 years old.

An additional 6,650 children in Ha Tinh will be vaccinated against measles.

Vaccination locations are at district, city, and town health centers, commune, ward, and town health stations. The campaign will end no later than March 31, 2025. The health sector strives to achieve the goal of 95% of children of the age who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated with measles-containing vaccines as prescribed to be vaccinated with measles-containing vaccines.

To make the campaign more effective, the Department of Health has assigned the Provincial Center for Disease Control to be the focal point for organizing and implementing the plan to ensure safety and effectiveness. Provide professional documents to the media, departments, and organizations to serve the communication and propaganda work on the meaning, purpose, and benefits of measles and measles-rubella vaccination. Organize propaganda before and during the campaign implementation on the meaning and benefits of measles and measles-rubella vaccination.

Plan, receive, preserve and distribute enough vaccines, supplies and vaccination equipment to units and localities. Guide medical centers to organize the implementation of the plan; inspect, monitor, summarize and report implementation results according to regulations. Direct and supervise the sweep injection after the end of the main vaccination period to achieve the set goals. Coordinate with relevant functional departments of the Department of Health in organizing inspection and supervision of implementation in localities and units.

The provincial Center for Disease Control will organize inspections and supervision to ensure the vaccination campaign is effective and safe.

Assign the Provincial General Hospital, Ky Anh Town General Hospital, and Loc Ha General Hospital to arrange 2 mobile emergency teams during the vaccination campaign, ready to support lower levels when requested.

Medical centers of districts, cities and towns develop plans and organize the implementation of the campaign locally. Coordinate with the Departmentof Education and Training in the area in directing and investigating vaccination subjects at primary schools, preschools and kindergartens. Based on the needs of the commune level, plan and receive vaccines and vaccination supplies at the Provincial Center for Disease Control, ensuring adequate supply for the needs of the communes in the area. Arrange staff to monitor and support vaccination sites in the management area; arrange 2 mobile emergency teams during the campaign implementation, ready to support lower levels when requested.

Health stations develop plans and organize the implementation of campaigns at fixed vaccination points. Review and make a list of children who have not been fully vaccinated with measles-containing vaccines according to regulations. Coordinate with commune radio stations, local organizations and unions to increase propaganda about the meaning, purpose and benefits of measles and measles-rubella vaccination...

Previously, in the first phase of the 2025 campaign, 10 localities including Ha Tinh City, Ky Anh Town, Vu Quang, Huong Khe, Huong Son, Can Loc, Hong Linh Town, Ky Anh District, Thach Ha, Duc Tho received and completed the vaccination of 3,800 doses of measles vaccine for children from 1 to 10 years old who had not been vaccinated or had not received enough doses as prescribed.
