On the evening of July 17, the ceremony to send off the Vietnamese sports delegation to the 2024 Paris Olympics took place. Participating in this Olympics, the delegation consists of 39 members, including 16 athletes (in 11 sports), 16 coaches and experts, 2 doctors and delegation officials, led by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Ha Viet - Director of the Department of Physical Training and Sports.

Speaking at the Departure Ceremony, Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - emphasized: "Up to this moment, the 16 most outstanding faces of Vietnamese sports are ready. Before participating in the largest sports arena on the planet, I request that the members of the Vietnamese sports delegation participating in this Olympics clearly recognize their enormous responsibility to the country and the sports fans of the whole country, compete honestly, nobly, tenaciously and creatively, surpass themselves to achieve the highest achievements, become a shining example of personality, courage and will for the young generation of the whole country to follow.
At the same time, members of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation also need to always be exemplary, humble in learning, friendly with international friends, absolutely respect the customs, practices and laws of the host country and comply with the regulations of the Congress."
Meanwhile, Head of Delegation Dang Ha Viet said: "The Vietnamese sports delegation clearly sees its responsibility and prepares a strong spirit, determination, aspiration to contribute, ready to enter the decisive battle for the glory and colors of the Fatherland.
Before attending the Congress, in today's solemn ceremony, all cadres, coaches, experts, and athletes of the Vietnam Sports Delegation would like to accept the task before the Party, State, Government, and people to strive to compete with all their might, calmly, confidently, intelligently, creatively, and tenaciously to win each medal for the delegation and the country. At the same time, contribute to maintaining and strengthening solidarity, friendship, cooperation, and development with countries around the world."

Athlete Nguyen Thuy Linh expressed her determination: "I promise to participate with a spirit of solidarity, abide by the regulations of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation, and compete with a noble spirit, for the glory of the country."
Also at the Ceremony, representatives of the French Embassy in Vietnam presented flowers and best wishes to the Vietnamese sports delegation before leaving for the Olympics.
Athletes who won tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics include: Do Thi Anh Nguyet, Le Quoc Phong (Archery), Tran Thi Nhi Yen (Athletics), Nguyen Thuy Linh, Le Duc Phat (Badminton), Ha Thi Linh, Vo Thi Kim Anh (Boxing), Nguyen Thi Huong (Canoeing), Nguyen Thi That (Cycling), Pham Thi Hue (Rowing), Trinh Thu Vinh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen (Shooting), Nguyen Huy Hoang, Vo Thi My Tien (Swimming), Trinh Van Vinh (Weightlifting), Hoang Thi Tinh (Judo).
The 2024 Paris Olympics, taking place from July 26 to August 11 in the French capital and surrounding areas, is the biggest international sporting event of the year, gathering the world's best athletes to compete in 329 events in 32 sports. This is the third time France has had the honor of hosting the Summer Olympics (the previous two were in 1900 and 1924), but it has been a 100-year wait since hosting the 1924 Olympics.
2024 is also the 130th anniversary of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), so this Olympic Games is an opportunity for the IOC and the host country France to create a special and most memorable event in the history of the Olympics. For athletes, coaches and officials of sports delegations, in addition to competing with all their abilities, participating in this event will also be an honor, a great experience, and an opportunity to exchange and learn from international sports delegations.
After the departure ceremony, the Vietnamese sports delegation left for Paris, France on July 23. The two flag bearers for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics (France) are Le Duc Phat (badminton) and Do Thi Anh Nguyet (archery).
