At the 14th World Bodybuilding Championships in 2023 taking place from November 9 to 11 in Wonju City (Gangwon, Korea), the Vietnamese team with a strong force of 22 athletes (Binh Duong Sports is honored to have 6 members, with 1 coach and 5 athletes), arrived in Wonju City early to get used to the weather, climate and weighing work for the competition.
Closing the first day of competition on November 9, the Vietnamese bodybuilding team won 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. In the bodybuilding category (men's 70kg weight class), athlete Ho Huy Binh (Binh Duong) excellently brought home a precious world gold medal for Vietnamese sports in general and Binh Duong in particular. In addition, teammate Truong Hoang Long won a silver medal (youth bodybuilding category up to 75kg for men).
This is an impressive achievement, showing the systematic, scientific and effective investment of Binh Duong High Performance Sports in recent times, contributing positively to Vietnam's sports achievements in the international arena, and is an important foundation for Binh Duong sports to aim for even more important goals in the coming time.
In the next 2 days of competition, athletes will continue to compete in the remaining events of the tournament, in which athlete Do Thanh Binh (Binh Duong) will compete in the classic event, promising to add more medals to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese bodybuilding team.
