Teacher promptly rescues 2nd grade student struggling in river

On May 27, according to a report received by the Department of Education and Training of Hai Hau District (Nam Dinh) from teacher Bui Van Trinh, Principal of Hai An Primary School (Hai An Commune, Hai Hau District), a teacher in the school saved a second grade student who fell into the river and was at risk of drowning.

Teacher Nguyen Trong Tai is rescuing students from the danger of drowning.

According to the report, at around 10:15 a.m. the same day, on the way to submit a summary report of the Team's work, near the cemetery in Hai Duong commune (Hai Hau district), teacher Nguyen Trong Tai, a Physical Education teacher at Hai An Primary School, discovered a student struggling in the river, at risk of drowning.

Teacher Tai immediately stopped his motorbike, jumped into the river and promptly saved the student from the dangerous situation.

The student who had the accident was Nguyen Thi H. (class 2A6, Hai Duong Primary School). H. had the accident on her way home after attending the year-end summary.

The principal added that Mr. Tai (37 years old) is a party member, a Physical Education teacher, and also the Head of the Hai An Primary School Youth Union.

The sports team coached by Mr. Tai for many years achieved high rankings. In the 2023-2024 school year, a student won second prize in chess when participating in the Nam Dinh Province High School Sports Competition.

In the school years 2017 - 2018, 2020 - 2021, 2022 - 2023, Mr. Tai was recognized as a grassroots emulation fighter. Mr. Tai has also been recognized as a party member for 3 years for completing his tasks excellently.
