Spread pride
After the first parade rehearsal took place on the evening of April 18 in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, the excitement among young people did not cool down but spread even more strongly. This was most clearly demonstrated by the enthusiastic response on social networks, where videos recording images of the army marching in rhythm, the sound of drums resounding and thousands of people watching enthusiastically created a wave of special interest.
If in the previous rehearsal, many young people came with the mindset of initial discovery and experience, now, before the parade and marching practice session on the evening of April 22, all preparations have been raised to a new level, showing more initiative, thoughtfulness and excitement.
The second parade rehearsal will take place tonight (April 22). |
On the TikTok platform, it is not difficult to come across videos sharing experiences in “hunting” for ideal shooting angles, suggesting convenient locations for observation, or advice on reasonable travel times to avoid traffic jams. These contents have attracted great attention from the online community, urging young people to plan more detailed plans for their upcoming trip to watch the parade.
Sharing from the bottom of my heart
Minh Phuong, a second-year student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, excitedly shared: “For me, the parade is not just a commemorative event. It is also an opportunity for me to look back at history, remember the contributions of previous generations; remind me of the responsibility of youth in building and defending the Fatherland. Watching the parade helps me feel like I am a part of the country, with an invisible connection to history and the future.”
Accordingly, preparation does not stop at plans on paper but is also realized through specific actions. Quoc Dung, a 12th grade student in Thu Duc City, sincerely shared: “Last time I accidentally forgot to bring drinking water, and the weather was hot so I felt very uncomfortable. This time, I prepared a backpack full of water. The experience from last time was really valuable.”
Not only drinking water, but other essential items such as compact hand fans, cooling wet towels, or spare phone chargers are also carefully included by young people in the list of indispensable items for this big festival.
Ho Chi Minh City youth eagerly welcome the second parade practice. |
Many groups of friends have come up with ideas and designed unique uniforms, wearing the bright red of the flag, the brilliant yellow of the star, or printing the meaningful words "April 30 - Proud of Vietnam", as a symbol of solidarity and common pride.
Hong Nhung, a student at the University of Fine Arts, could not hide her excitement when showing off the design on her phone: “This time, our group wants to make a special mark by making uniforms with the flag and the date of the event printed on them. It shows the spirit and creates a memorable memory.”
While the youth are eagerly preparing, detailed information about the schedule has been widely published online, stating that the next parade rehearsal and march will take place on the evening of April 22, 2025, continuing to gather 36 marching groups from the armed forces, agencies and mass forces. In addition, the official event on April 30 also promises to bring a rare special participation of international military delegations from Laos, Cambodia and China.
However, behind the excitement of witnessing the magnificent parades, many young people also have deep thoughts about the spiritual value and historical significance of this important day.
Hoang Long, a first-year student majoring in History, was filled with indescribable emotion when he shared: “Witnessing those things, a sacred love for the country and a deep pride in the values we are inheriting suddenly welled up in my heart. This is not only an event, but also a vivid history lesson, awakening in me a sense of responsibility as a young person towards the future of the Fatherland.”
It can be seen that the careful preparation and eagerness of the youth before the parade rehearsal on the evening of April 22 is not only a testament to their interest in a historical event, but also shows a responsible young generation, always looking back to their roots and proud of the strength of the nation. These emotions, once spread and nurtured, will become a great source of motivation for them to continue contributing to the development and protection of the country in the future.
