Removing obstacles in medical examination and treatment for public health facilities

At the conference, leaders of hospitals, medical centers, heads of personnel/administrative departments of units reported difficulties and problems regarding facilities, medical equipment, and human resources at the units.

Some issues have emerged, such as health insurance settlement related to hemodialysis; the number of hospital beds in a department of a third-class medical unit; doctors' professional practice certificates; access to funding for scientific research, etc.

Deputy Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Van Binh said that the conference was an opportunity for the department's leaders to listen to the proposals and recommendations of the units. From there, they will jointly come up with solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, helping the units to perform more effectively the work of medical examination, treatment and health care for the people.

At the conference, staff from specialized departments under the Department of Health answered questions from the units. At the same time, they guided the units to properly implement legal regulations related to medical examination and treatment under health insurance, adjusting operating licenses, bidding for drugs and vaccines, updating information on the system, etc.
