Removing difficulties and obstacles in investment, production and business of enterprises

On the morning of June 5, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to remove difficulties and obstacles in investment, production and business of enterprises in 2024. Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, localities, units and representatives of enterprises attended the conference.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in 2023, enterprises had 78 recommendations and proposals to remove difficulties, of which 67 recommendations and proposals were answered and resolved by departments, branches and localities. In 2024, enterprises had 25 recommendations, of which 15 recommendations were completely resolved or clearly answered by agencies according to the provisions of law; 4 recommendations are being resolved; 4 recommendations have been guided by competent agencies but enterprises have not provided documents and procedures for resolution; 1 recommendation is beyond the authority of the Provincial People's Committee and 1 recommendation has not been resolved by competent agencies.

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Business Association and enterprises raised new difficulties and problems such as increased production costs due to high input material prices, while output product prices are low and consumption is slow; foreign exchange rates fluctuate, logistics service prices increase... Site clearance and land handover of some projects are still slow, affecting project investment progress... The Provincial Business Association and enterprises proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct administrative procedure reform more strongly, improve the investment and business environment, direct departments, branches and localities to resolve recommendations, difficulties and problems more quickly to help enterprises feel secure in investing and developing production and business.

Representatives of a number of departments, branches and localities: Industry and Trade, Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Tax Department, Provincial Police, Thai Binh City People's Committee directly responded and clarified the contents of the enterprises' recommendations and proposals with the spirit of acceptance and determination to solve the problems for enterprises.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the opinions of businesses and said that frank discussions to identify advantages and difficulties in production and business to find solutions to promote and remove them are very important to contribute to promoting economic development as well as helping the business community of the province to continuously grow.

Providing information on the province's socio-economic situation since the beginning of the year, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The positive signals and the improvement in economic development since the beginning of the second quarter are the result of great efforts of the entire political system and the positive contributions of the business community in the province. With the viewpoint of accompanying, supporting and removing difficulties for businesses is for the development of the province, departments, branches and localities urgently research and have solutions to thoroughly resolve the recommendations and proposals of businesses in 2023. Closely coordinate and advise on solutions for the Provincial People's Committee to direct the resolution and removal of recommendations of businesses in 2024. Continue to proactively grasp and update the situation of production and business activities, difficulties and problems arising in the coming time, and promptly intervene to remove them for businesses.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that enterprises should also share the difficulties of state management agencies in the process of implementing legal regulations; they need to carefully study, understand correctly and fully and comply with legal regulations. The Provincial People's Committee will direct the review of all recommendations of enterprises and thoroughly resolve long-standing problems.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the business community in the province will promote the spirit of solidarity, strive to rise up, compete to boost production and business in the last months of the year, strive to exceed the plan, contributing to the completion of the province's socio-economic goals in 2024 and the entire 2021-2025 term.
