Previously, on July 19, Herbalife Vietnam also coordinated with the Blood Transfusion - Hematology Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City to organize Voluntary Blood Donation Day at the Company's headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City.
The two blood donation events attracted the participation of hundreds of Herbalife Vietnam independent members and employees, along with their relatives and friends, with a total of more than 280 units of blood donated.
Mr. Vu Van Thang, General Director of Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia, said: “I would like to express my sincere thanks to Herbalife Vietnam’s independent members and employees, as well as their relatives and friends, for continuing to show strong support for the 2023 Voluntary Blood Donation Day program.
Through regular participation in blood donation activities, we contribute to humanitarian support, encouragement and empowerment for patients and their families.
We deeply appreciate the cooperation of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the Ho Chi Minh City Blood Transfusion and Hematology Hospital in carrying out this meaningful program with us."
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), women with complications during pregnancy or childbirth, children with anemia (often due to malaria or malnutrition), accident victims, and patients undergoing surgery or cancer treatment all need blood transfusions.
The need for blood is constant as blood can only be stored for a limited period of time before being used. Regular blood donations are essential to ensure that blood is available whenever needed.
