Inspectorate discovered violations of 2,058 billion VND, transferred 26 cases to the investigation agency - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

The Government Inspectorate said that in the first quarter of 2025, the entire Inspectorate sector carried out 1,538 administrative inspections and 4,135 specialized inspections and checks. During the inspection process, violations worth VND 2,058 billion were discovered and 26 cases were transferred to the investigation agency.

Strengthening inspection and handling of violations

During the inspection, the authorities discovered economic violations totaling VND2,058 billion and 720 hectares of land. Of which, the Government Inspectorate recommended the recovery of VND1,904 billion and 617 hectares of land, and the settlement value of VND154 billion and 103 hectares of land was excluded from the settlement value due to non-compliance with regulations.

In addition, the inspection agency issued 3,377 decisions on administrative sanctions against organizations and individuals with a total fine of VND229 billion, and recommended administrative sanctions against 381 groups and 1,083 individuals. Notably, 26 cases and 15 individuals were transferred to the investigation agency for consideration and handling.

In the first quarter, the Government Inspectorate continued to implement resolutions and directions of the Party and Government to improve the effectiveness of inspection work, and at the same time implemented plans to remove difficulties related to projects and land in inspection conclusions in a number of localities.

Regarding citizen reception and complaint and denunciation settlement, the whole sector received more than 92,290 petitions of all kinds, processed 90,024 petitions, of which 74,988 petitions were eligible for processing.

The total number of complaints and denunciations under the jurisdiction of State administrative agencies is 6,472. The Government Inspectorate also organized regular citizen receptions at the Central Citizen Reception Office in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, receiving 941 visits with 2,210 people, handling 936 cases, including 69 large groups.

In the second quarter of 2025, the Government Inspectorate and relevant agencies will focus on accelerating the issuance of inspection conclusions, strictly implementing regulations on power control, anti-corruption and negativity in inspection and supervision work.

The Inspectorate will also continue to implement the Government's plan to resolve issues related to land, projects and judgments in many localities, while monitoring and urging the implementation of inspection conclusions, especially cases under the supervision of the Steering Committee.

In addition, the Government Inspectorate will continue to coordinate with central agencies to organize citizen receptions, resolve mass complaints, handle petitions and denunciations, and ensure stability of security and order.

Continuing to implement key plans, the Inspectorate will deploy Plan No. 1233 dated June 13, 2024 on citizen reception work to serve Party Congresses at all levels, the 14th National Congress of the Party, as well as the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The Government Inspectorate emphasized its determination to strictly implement the conclusions of the Party and State leaders, ensure discipline and order in inspection activities and handle violations, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management and preventing corruption.
