Thu Duc City prepares documents for the 2025-2030 congress that must be unique and innovative.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee Nguyen Huu Hiep said that in the first 6 months of the year, the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Thu Duc City Party Committee have focused on leading and directing the implementation of many drastic, specific solutions, close to the practical situation associated with the 2024 theme of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on "Strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and a clean and strong political system; determined to effectively implement digital transformation and Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly".

In the first 6 months of the year, through reviewing the system of 38 targets set for 2024, 15 targets achieved a rate of over 50%; 15 targets have not yet reached the evaluation deadline; 8 targets have not yet reached the rate of 50%.

Thu Duc City also focuses on innovation and streamlining the organization of the city's political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.

Thu Duc City is actively directing the review and preparation of human resources for grassroots congresses and the Thu Duc City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the 6-month report, in addition to the achieved results, the socio -economic development results and Party building work in Thu Duc city also have shortcomings and limitations such as: The target of developing new party members is still low, reaching 26.6% compared to the Resolution; State budget revenue is estimated at 37.49% of the estimate; disbursement of public investment capital only reaches 16%.

In addition, some key projects and works, especially transport infrastructure works, are still slow; illegal and unlicensed construction still occurs; problems with waste treatment and localized flooding during the rainy season in some key areas and locations have not been thoroughly resolved, causing public outrage.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Nen shared that he felt the concerns and efforts of the officials and civil servants of Thu Duc city to overcome the confusion in the early days of its establishment, turning it into action as well as coordinating and sharing responsibilities in performing tasks.

He highly appreciated Thu Duc City for always being proactive in implementing resolutions and directives from superiors in a serious and methodical manner. Thu Duc City has led and directed economic operations with focus, key points, and a specific roadmap; activities in the cultural and social fields have received attention.

However, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also acknowledged that Thu Duc City still has issues that have not been resolved and needs to take drastic actions to complete the 2024 goals. Regarding the tasks for the last 6 months of the year and preparations for 2025, he requested Thu Duc City to review the set of indicators, compare resolutions, and review the proposed socio-economic indicators to find solutions for completion. Along with that, focus on effectively handling the backlog in Thu Thiem New Urban Area, Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, and at the same time strongly apply technology to administrative reform to improve the capacity and quality of social management activities to serve people and businesses better and better.

Comrade Nguyen Van Nen emphasized that Thu Duc City must invest in and develop quality documents for the Congress of Thu Duc City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. This is the first term, so the congress documents must be specific, profound and innovative. Along with that, prepare a quality staff, select a worthy team, capable of operating and managing the work of Thu Duc City in each field.

Comrade Nguyen Van Nen also noted that cadres and party members of Thu Duc city must seriously implement Regulation 144 on the standards of revolutionary ethics for cadres and party members in the new period.
