Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in recent days, the Management Board of the Central Market of Soc Trang City has coordinated with the People's Committees of Wards 1 and 3 and the City's Urban Order Team to implement many measures, resolutely restoring order in the market area. After nearly a week of implementation, the situation of encroachment on the sidewalk for trading has significantly decreased. Typically, in the Nguyen Hue Street area, businesses and traders have moved their goods to the sidewalk; for cases of trading on three-wheeled vehicles and homemade carts, the authorities have also propagated and handled them, thanks to which buying and selling is also more convenient. Many small traders shared and agreed with the plan to rearrange the market, and at the same time expressed their wish that the authorities would continue to maintain inspections, reminders, and handling to create a spacious market.

Ms. Chau Ngoc Pha, a trader at the Central Market of Soc Trang City, said: "I agree with Soc Trang City's decision to restore order in the market. After removing the cases of street vendors, traffic is also more convenient. Customers can easily choose goods without having to jostle."
Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Bang, who sells fruit in the Central Market of Soc Trang City, said: "The situation of selling on the street has a great impact on those who register to sell in kiosks, because there is no way to go, so customers are afraid. Therefore, the authorities check, remind, create clear roads and open sidewalks. Small traders are very in agreement."
According to comrade Le Tai Loc - Deputy Head of the Central Market Management Board of Soc Trang City, despite many efforts, it is still difficult to restore order in the market. Some cases of spontaneous trading use many ways to deal with the authorities such as using pushcarts and three-wheeled vehicles. When they see the authorities, these cases immediately move to another place, then they encroach on the road again when the authorities are absent. To resolutely handle this situation, the Market Management Board assigns forces to station at the entrance of the market to remind and handle the situation of buying and selling on the road during rush hour.
With the goal of building a civilized and modern city center market, the People's Committee of Soc Trang city has had many solutions. In addition to inspection and propaganda, the city also invested in and renovated the area at the beginning of Zone D into a parking lot to serve the shopping needs of tourists and city residents. During the survey of the buying and selling situation at the city center market, Secretary of the Soc Trang City Party Committee Thai Dang Khoa requested that the functional forces coordinate closely and resolutely handle the situation, ensuring that buying and selling in the market area is airy and safe. The Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that patrolling must be done regularly and continuously to create civilized buying and selling habits.
With the determination of the authorities, along with the consensus of many people and traders, it is hoped that the restoration of trading order in the Central Market area of Soc Trang city will be effective, contributing to the construction of a civilized and modern central market, ensuring traffic safety and urban beauty.
