Youth Union members, police force and people launched a general cleaning campaign to improve the environmental landscape on both sides of the Bang River.

In this campaign, agencies, units, and localities mobilized over 500 cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, workers, and people in the area to simultaneously organize a general environmental cleaning, collect and treat waste, obstacles, and rafts anchored on the river, ensuring the flow before the rainy season; inspect and repair, clean the drainage system along both sides of the river; cover unsightly objects at wastewater discharge outlets along the embankment; plant additional trees suitable for ecological characteristics and urban space; install lighting systems, renovate riverside landscape highlights...

Organize various communication activities such as: hanging banners and slogans on ensuring ecological environment; launching movements such as "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", "Garbage-free route"... associated with protecting Bang River. Encourage people, agencies, and existing houses to maintain the habit of keeping clean, not littering in the river, and join hands in building a green - clean - beautiful urban area.

This is a meaningful and practical activity, contributing to improving the quality of the water environment, limiting the risk of pollution, congestion and urban flooding. Thereby, raising awareness and responsibility of the community in protecting the environment and preserving urban beauty, towards building a green and sustainable urban area, contributing to the development of eco-tourism , improving the quality of life for people in the central area of the city. At the same time, synchronously and effectively implementing the Provincial Party Committee's policy on general cleaning and environmental improvement of Bang River, preparing for the inauguration of the Cao Bang City dam project, serving the development of services and tourism on the river.
