(Quang Ngai Newspaper) - After a period of construction, Quang Ngai City has completed and put into operation an application to look up information on urban infrastructure and urban planning, helping people and businesses to look up information quickly and promptly, meeting the requirements of modernizing planning management in the area.
Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening planning management in the area, since 2023, Quang Ngai City has urgently deployed the development of software to apply the geographic information system (GIS) to planning management. Through the application of the GIS system to collect, store, manipulate and analyze data, all technical infrastructure planning and urban planning in Quang Ngai City are formatted as map layers in a specific reference system and coordinates. From there, it allows the display of information layers that have been screened, analyzed, synthesized and calculated according to the information access requirements of system users. The application of the GIS system in the field of construction planning of Quang Ngai City aims to implement planning, management and operation of smart urban areas as well as integrate utilities to serve people and businesses. This is also an effective tool to help the Quang Ngai City government manage and develop urban areas according to approved planning.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City, the application of software to provide planning information to people has many important purposes. With this software application, people only need to have a compatible device and can access and search for information quickly and accurately while sitting at home. Currently, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City has put the application software to look up information on urban infrastructure and urban planning on popular and common technology platforms, so that people and businesses can easily search and look up. According to the search address https://quyhoach.thanhpho.quangngai.gov.vn, people and businesses can access the desired search item according to the pre-installed instructions, including urban infrastructure, planning; construction density, building height; land use purpose; documents, legal records of planning projects. This application software also provides information and different formats so that people and businesses can easily identify adjusted zoning plans. What is especially meaningful to people when looking up this software is that it provides information related to the adjustment of the general construction planning of Quang Ngai City to 2040.
Ms. Tran Thi Hong Ai, in residential group 7, Le Hong Phong ward (Quang Ngai city) said that thanks to looking up this application software, her two sons (currently living in Ho Chi Minh City) know the planning nature of some land plots, from which they can decide to invest. “Previously, when this lookup system did not exist, I had to go to the ward, meet the staff, ask about the planning, spend a lot of time waiting, sometimes the information was not accurate. But now, my children only need to access the available address, all information is fully displayed, helping to calculate and invest quickly and conveniently. I find this method modern and useful for people, especially in the situation where the State is strengthening management of urban planning,” Ms. Ai said.
