According to Insider , the latest annual report on the Global Livability Index 2023 by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) - the economic research and analysis division of The Economist Group, is based on 5 criteria to evaluate city quality such as health services and infrastructure, including the quality of public transport and housing conditions to rank livable cities.
“The concept of liveability is simply a measure of where in the world the living conditions are the best or worst. Its role is to quantify the challenges faced by individuals in different places, and to establish the disparities between living environments,” the EIU said on June 22.
Austria's capital Vienna continues to top the list of the world's most livable cities.

“The Austrian capital Vienna has maintained this form for many years, only when the Covid-19 pandemic appeared did the city lose its leading position,” the report said.
Denmark’s Copenhagen followed closely behind in second place, while Canada had three cities in the top 10, including Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.
