Lao Cai City has upgraded more than 30 inner-city roads (small roads now upgraded and expanded according to the criteria of a type I urban area), and at the same time implemented a model of undergrounding power lines and telecommunication cables to modernize the urban area.

Le Dai Hanh Street, Kim Tan Ward, was approved by the City People's Committee for a project to renovate the drainage system, expand the road surface, and design a road surface expansion from 6m to 7.5m along with a drainage system, underground power cable system, and information cable system, with the goal of upgrading and upgrading traffic infrastructure, environmental landscape, ensuring traffic safety, and gradually meeting the criteria of a type I urban area.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, technical officer of Tung Long Enterprise - the construction unit of the road, said: With the approved items, the unit is implementing in a rolling manner, ensuring safety, quality and aesthetics as it is completed.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan in Group 30, Kim Tan Ward shared: People on Le Dai Hanh Street are very supportive of the city's road and urban renovation. The road upgrade will create a cleaner, more beautiful and neat space for the road, corridors and sidewalks to serve the people. The construction process is regularly monitored and commented by the people to ensure it is suitable for daily life and travel needs.
Currently, the city is synchronously upgrading 11 routes including: Hoang Van Thu, Chu Van An, Road D1 (Cam Duong commune), Hoang Lien, Hung Hoa, Le Thanh, Ngo Quyen, Le Lai, Luong Van Can, Hoang Quoc Viet and Provincial Road 156 through Hop Thanh commune, with a total investment of nearly 174 billion VND.


Mr. Dao Minh Khanh, Head of the City's Urban Management Department, said: Implementing the City's Project No. 01 on synchronous development of infrastructure in the area to meet the criteria of a Type I urban area (phase 2020 - 2025) with the goal of expanding the standard inner-city roads with a surface of 6m to 7.5m to serve convenient traffic for the people and to make the urban area cleaner - more beautiful - more modern. Up to now, the city has expanded more than 30 roads and continues to strive to implement in the coming time, in the period of 2025 - 2030, it will complete and upgrade more than 100 roads and streets to ensure traffic infrastructure according to the criteria of a Type I urban area.

With efforts to upgrade infrastructure and modernize urban areas in a synchronous and modern direction, after completing the projects, the image of a large urban area will gradually appear in the city and move towards the common goal of completing a type I urban area in the period of 2025 - 2030.
