This is one of the activities to strengthen the people's foreign affairs of the city's Trade Union organization, contributing to tightening friendship and promoting comprehensive and sustainable development of cooperation between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

At the program, Mr. Phung Thai Quang, Vice President of the City Labor Federation, emphasized that the traditional friendship between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia has been diligently cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the three countries. Overcoming all space, time and ups and downs of history, the three nations have become increasingly close, the people of the three countries have become close comrades and brothers on all fronts, together aiming for peace, friendship and cooperation.

"The special, loyal, and pure relationship between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia is the loyal solidarity, the sincere, pure trust that the three peoples have for each other, and the wholehearted help to successfully carry out the revolutionary mission, creating a solid foundation for the development of the three peoples. That relationship has fostered will and determination, creating a solid foundation for the people of the three countries to stand shoulder to shoulder on new paths in the future, promoting the construction and development of each country, and nurturing the special neighborly friendship between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia to last forever and be sustainable," Mr. Phung Thai Quang emphasized.

With the program "Vietnamese families with Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City", Mr. Phung Thai Quang said that this is a very meaningful activity to promote the tradition of good cooperation and friendship between the three countries. The program is an opportunity for Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnamese families to meet and exchange; strengthen emotional ties; and an opportunity to better understand the country, people, culture, history, traditions and the friendly and united relationship between the peoples of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Participating in the program, representatives of the Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City and more than 100 Vietnamese families and Lao and Cambodian students living and studying in the city had the opportunity to travel on the Saigon River; have fun and enjoy the rustic and simple Southern countryside at Dragon Farm Tourist Area with activities to experience the life of farmers plowing, planting rice, draining ditches to catch fish... The activities helped Lao and Cambodian students understand more about the beauty of culture and integrate into the life of Vietnamese people, thereby feeling and loving more the country and people of Vietnam, who are hard-working, determined and courageous in fighting, and imbued with the cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation.

Coming to the program, Lao and Cambodian students and Vietnamese families were very happy and excited, especially when experiencing the life and activities of Vietnamese people in general, and people in the Southwest region in particular. Lun Leangchheng (from Cambodia, 4th year student at Ton Duc Thang University) said that the activities here were very fun, meaningful, and imbued with Vietnamese culture. Although they have different languages, the three countries have many similarities; especially in activities, social life, culture, family, etc.

"This not only helps us understand more about the country and people of Vietnam, especially the affection of leaders at all levels, especially Vietnamese families and foster mothers who have taken care of and loved us like their own children. Through the companion program "Vietnamese families with Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City", we feel closer and more loving. This helps us ease our homesickness and is also a motivation for us to study better", Lun Leangchheng shared.

Accompanying Lao and Cambodian students for over 10 years, Ms. Truong Thuy Uyen, who lives in District 4, has devoted much love and care to the students, both materially and spiritually. She and her family spend a lot of time visiting, encouraging, and guiding them to study better, be good, and mature early in life...

The program "Vietnamese families with Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City" has contributed to diversifying the foreign affairs activities of the people of Ho Chi Minh City in general and the city's Trade Union in particular. Each activity has deepened the relationship between the people of the three countries; creating closeness and solidarity between Vietnamese families and Lao and Cambodian students, contributing to spreading the good traditional friendship between the three countries of Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia.
