In particular, in April, the time of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, according to EVNHCMC's forecast, April 28 will be the day with the highest commercial electricity output in 2025, expected to exceed 105 million kWh/day.

“From the effectiveness and widespread meaning of the writing contest “Saving electricity becomes a habit”, I hope that through this contest, many readers will respond and submit their works, including video clips, so that we can continue to spread the spirit of safe and economical electricity use to every business, household and person in the city and throughout the country”, Mr. Pham Quoc Bao hopes.

Thanh Nien Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Toan said that currently, localities across the country, especially Ho Chi Minh City, are entering the hottest period of the year, so the demand for electricity has increased sharply. Using electricity safely and economically is not only a reasonable solution to reduce economic spending, but also a way to protect the environment.

“It can be affirmed that safe and economical use of electricity is not only a reasonable solution to reduce economic expenses, but also a way to protect the environment. Each kWh of electricity saved will reduce part of CO₂ emissions, and part of the natural resources retained will help the atmosphere become cleaner for today and for the future. Small safe and energy-saving actions can create a big effect if spread widely in the community,” Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan emphasized.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan, through articles promoting the contest on digital platforms, the writing contest "Making a habit of saving electricity" is an effective way to popularize initiatives to save electricity and use electricity safely to the public.

Participating in the writing contest "Saving electricity becomes a habit" for the third time, Miss Eco International 2023 Nguyen Thanh Ha said she felt honored and happy to be an ambassador for saving electricity, using her voice to communicate more strongly, sharing her perspective on saving electricity to many people, especially young people.

“In reality, many people travel for many days without turning off the circuit breaker. This is very dangerous. Since I was a child, I always turn off the circuit breaker when I go out as a useful daily habit,” Miss Eco International Nguyen Thanh Ha shared.

According to the Organizing Committee, the contest is a playground to encourage the community to share thoughts, experiences and initiatives in using electricity intelligently, safely and economically. Each entry is a vivid and unique story, conveying a strong message about environmental protection and sustainable development.
