Ho Chi Minh City puts into operation a cluster of national standard schools

This is one of the key projects under the 4,500 classroom project, contributing to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The project to build a cluster of national standard schools in Ward 6, Tan Binh District was implemented to implement the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress of the District and Ho Chi Minh City. In the period of 2021-2025, the cluster of 3 schools in Ward 6 (including Son Ca Kindergarten, Hung Vuong Primary School and Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School) was completed and put into use with a total of 95 classrooms, bringing the number of classrooms in the entire Tan Binh District to 301 classrooms per 10,000 school-age people.

This important target was completed ahead of schedule, contributing to affirming the project's investment efficiency and the district's determination to improve the qualityof education .

The project also aims to promptly meet the demand for schools and ensure the effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program and the Project to ensure facilities for preschool and general education in the 2017-2025 period under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training .

In addition, the investment in building new, renovating and upgrading schools also contributes to perfecting the education network in the district, ensuring that 100% of students study 2 sessions/day, class size meets the prescribed standards, and gradually improves the quality of comprehensive education.

The items are implemented in full compliance with the facility standards according to Circular 13/2020/TT-BGDDT, creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the local education sector.

The project not only has educational significance but also contributes to upgrading urban infrastructure, improving landscape, traffic connection and promoting economic-cultural-social development in Tan Binh district.

This project is a testament to the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City in building a modern and comprehensive education system.

The school cluster project was started on December 12, 2023 and includes 4 component projects: Son Ca Kindergarten, Hung Vuong Primary School, Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, along with traffic infrastructure and green parks.

In which, Son Ca Kindergarten has a total construction floor area of ^{​​7,750.2m2} ; scale is 1 ground floor, 3 floors, 20 classrooms, functional rooms and kitchen; total investment is 122,393,000,000 VND.

Hung Vuong Primary School has a total construction floor area of ^{​​9,740.0m2} ; scale is 1 ground floor, 3 floors, 30 classrooms, functional rooms, kitchen, multi-purpose gymnasium; total investment is 147,568,000,000 VND.

Meanwhile, Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School has a total construction floor area of ^{​​13,121.98m2} ; scale is 1 ground floor, 3 floors, 45 classrooms, functional rooms, kitchen and swimming pool; total investment is 196,896,000,000 VND.
