Ho Chi Minh City announces a series of activities to stimulate and promote tourism

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced a series of activities to stimulate and promote tourism.

The series of activities is a way for the entire Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry to spread gratitude, honor historical values, and welcome visitors with the hospitality that is typical of the city's people. The activities are carefully prepared, imbued with identity, demonstrating the spirit of pride, friendliness and responsibility of a modern, affectionate city.

In order to create a special mark for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Department of Tourism is urgently building and developing new tourism products associated with cultural and historical depth such as: Community tourism products in Thanh An commune (Can Gio), tourism products in Hoc Mon, "Nam Ky Luc Tinh" tour.

Along with that, the Department also coordinated with cultural experts, researchers, and the business community to research and implement the plan to "restructure" Ho Chi Minh City's tourism products in conjunction with the recently approved arrangement and reorganization of administrative units; linking the "restructuring" of tourism products with the "repositioning" of the identity of the City's tourism products, thereby creating competitive appeal for Ho Chi Minh City tourism in the regional and global tourism markets.

In addition to the tourism products that the Department of Tourism is responsible for developing, many travel agencies have also introduced a series of cultural and historical tours, from short trips within the city to long trips connecting to neighboring provinces. The tours not only focus on visiting historical sites but also combine cultural experiences, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the city's history and culture. Many tours have combined visits to historical sites with practical experiences, giving visitors deeper emotions and a better understanding of national history.

The Department of Tourism also said that in order for the 2025 tourism activities to spread widely, communication work will be comprehensively deployed on both digital and outdoor visual platforms.
