Hanoi City honors 100 outstanding and outstanding valedictorians in 2024

On the evening of October 3, in Hanoi , the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Hanoi held a ceremony to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in the area in 2024.

Attending the event were Party Central Committee members Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture andEducation ; Pham Tat Thang, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; representatives of ministries, central agencies and the capital.

After more than 2 decades of implementation, the program has recognized a total of 2,256 valedictorians who were recognized and received Certificates of Merit from the Hanoi People's Committee. After the recognition, many valedictorians have initially achieved success in life, promoting their aspirations to contribute and contribute to the development of the capital in particular and the country in general.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong affirmed: Over the years, the capital has always paid attention to nurturing and promoting young talents and high-quality human resources.

Warmly congratulating the 100 valedictorians honored this year, the Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee asked the young people to be confident and steadfast in realizing their dreams and ambitions, inheriting and promoting the fine traditions of the nation and Thang Long-Hanoi, becoming shining examples for the youth and children of the capital to follow.

In this year's event, 100 excellent valedictorians were honored, all of whom are graduates of universities and academies with impressive achievements. Among them, there are many faces who are party members, "5 Good Students" at all levels, models of the will to overcome difficulties and rise up, possessing scientific research works that have won domestic and international awards and practical, effective topics, initiatives, solutions, active and dynamic Youth Union and Association cadres...

More specifically, there are 40 male valedictorians and 60 female valedictorians; 91 individuals graduated from public schools, 9 individuals graduated from private schools. 76% of the 100 valedictorians achieved excellent academic results (from 9.0/10 or higher according to the year-based training system and from 3.6/4.0 or higher according to the credit-based training system). 38% of the 100 valedictorians are exemplary young party members, the remaining 62% are excellent Youth Union and Association cadres.

In terms of majors, there are 21 valedictorians in the engineering major, 39 valedictorians in the management-culture-society major, 13 valedictorians in the economics major, and 7, 6, and 14 valedictorians in the pedagogy, medicine-pharmacy, and armed forces majors, respectively.

Representing 100 excellent valedictorians sharing their feelings and thoughts at the ceremony, student Vu Thu Hang expressed her gratitude, promised to constantly cultivate, improve her virtue, train her talent, always be proactive in scientific research, creative work, strive in starting a business, establishing a career, volunteering for the community; bringing the youth's passion to the common aspirations of the capital and the country.

Taking place on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the commendation program has 4 main activities: Discussion with experts and excellent valedictorians on the City's policies and guidelines in attracting and using high-quality human resources; Incense offering ceremony at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; Golden Book registration ceremony for excellent valedictorians and Commendation ceremony for 100 excellent valedictorians.
