Da Lat City launches art tourism map to serve tourists

On August 29, the People's Committee of Da Lat city, Lam Dong cooperated with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to organize the launching ceremony of the Da Lat Art Tourism Map.

Mr. Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of the Da Lat City People's Committee, said the goal of building this map is to connect and introduce unique art destinations, music venues and scenic spots in Da Lat. This is a local initiative to promote the cultural and creative role of the city.

Mr. Dang Quang Tu shared: "The Dalat art tourism map is not only a navigation tool for locals and tourists, but also a bridge between artists, art establishments and the community. This helps open up stories about history, culture and creativity, while promoting the sustainable development of the tourism and art industry associated with Dalat city".

The Dalat Artistic Tourism Map will help visitors mark, schedule visits and experience places of high cultural and artistic value in Dalat. Currently, this map has been printed, graphicized and released in Dalat. In the near future, there will be an interactive version on the internet for visitors to easily access.

According to Mr. Jonathan Baker, Chief Representative of UNESCO in Vietnam, the Dalat Art Tourism Map is an initiative that contributes to shaping the cultural and creative ecosystem of Dalat city. This map is not only a useful tool for tourists but also supports state agencies in managing and promoting heritage as well as other creative spaces.

Mr. Dang Quang Tu added that after this launch, the city will continue to coordinate with the design consultant to develop, expand and provide complete and accurate information about new art destinations and unique local cultural events.
