Youth volunteers, striving to develop for the future

Currently, the province's youth force has more than 227 thousand people (aged from 16 to 30), accounting for more than 19% of the population and more than 41% of the province's labor force. Vinh Phuc youth increasingly have conditions and opportunities to study and access science and technology; educational level and the proportion of youth receiving technical and professional training are increasing.

The structure of young labor has shifted strongly towards increasing the number of workers in the industrial and service sectors, in private enterprises, and enterprises with foreign direct investment, and reducing the number of workers in the agricultural sector.

The majority of young people are dynamic, creative, enthusiastic, responsible, have dreams and ambitions, always believe in the leadership of the Party, the legal policies of the State and the country's innovation.

Over the years, the Youth Union force in the province has always been enthusiastic, proactive, and volunteered to participate in solving social security issues, community development, and environmental protection. Notable activities include supporting the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic in the period of 2020 - 2022; the movement to mobilize and support the construction of Charity Houses; mobilizing and donating essential supplies, food, and participating in relief efforts for people in localities affected by natural disasters and floods.

The "Summer Youth Volunteer" campaign has been effectively implemented by the Associations at all levels in the province through the establishment of Summer Youth Volunteer Teams to support disadvantaged communes in the area; organizing the programs "Supporting students to go to school", "Supporting exam season", coordinating and guiding activities for clubs, teams, associations, and student groups from universities and colleges in and outside the province.

In implementing projects and youth work, actively participate in building new rural areas through the movement "Vinh Phuc Youth join hands to build new rural areas and urban civilization".

Propaganda and mobilization of youth to participate in building youth projects; participate in repairing and beautifying local historical and cultural works and relics; propaganda on civilized implementation in participating in local cultural and festival activities.

Environmental protection and climate change response activities have been widely, practically and effectively deployed by all levels of the Union and Youth Union through activities responding to "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho", "Earth Hour", "Green Sunday", "Volunteer Saturday"...

Establish and maintain self-managed youth teams and volunteer youth teams to protect the environment; coordinate the organization of training courses on natural disaster and disease prevention and control for members and youth, contributing to raising awareness of environmental protection in the community...

In addition, voluntary blood donation activities continue to be a highlight in the youth volunteer movement, attracting a large number of members and young people to participate, such as the "Pink Spring Festival" program, "Red Sunday" day... with many typical examples of young people participating in voluntary blood donation being commended and rewarded.

In economic development, the provincial Youth Unions and Associations have effectively implemented programs and projects to support startups, such as the "Youth Startup" Project for the period 2019 - 2022; maintaining, consolidating activities and establishing 108 new "Youth Startup" clubs.

Organizing career orientation seminars; “Job Fair”; training on science and technology transfer for young people; organizing competitions and awarding prizes for good startup ideas among young people...

The Youth Union at all levels has organized training courses, provided knowledge and skills for young people to start a business; launched Starup - Idea competitions, searched for ideas and projects for rural youth to start a business. At the same time, improved the quality of science and technology transfer programs, and improved production skills for young people.

The work of supporting young people to borrow capital to start businesses and create jobs has been effectively implemented by the Youth Union and Association at all levels. Currently, the Youth Union and Association at all levels effectively manage 308 Savings and Loan Groups with a total outstanding debt of nearly 622 billion VND, contributing to supporting loans for young people to develop the economy.

The Youth Union at all levels also proactively supported young people with agricultural and handicraft specialties to promote and display at the “Startup Festival” of the Central Youth Union and the province. Thanks to that, many young union members have effectively used the support capital, promoted the application of science and technology in production, successfully built economic development models, actively supported and helped each other to develop the economy, escape poverty and become rich legitimately.

With meaningful contributions to the community through many good and creative deeds and volunteering spirit, the Youth Union force in the province has been and is contributing to building a prosperous and beautiful province. This is also the luggage for the Youth Union of Vinh Phuc to confidently step into the new era of the nation, worthy of being the Party's reliable reserve force.
