On the afternoon of October 27, the leader of the People's Committee of Thai Thuy Commune (Le Thuy District, Quang Binh) announced the above information. The locality has reported and asked for help from the district and province to search for missing people and continue to evacuate people from flooded areas.

The person swept away by the flood was Le Ngoc Hon (born in 2002, in Thanh Son village, Thai Thuy commune). On the same afternoon, while Mr. Hon was on a rescue mission in the downstream area of Thanh Son dam (Thai Thuy commune), he was swept away and went missing.
Le Thuy District People's Committee is mobilizing military and police forces to support search and rescue of victims.
Due to the impact of storm No. 6, on October 27, Quang Binh province experienced heavy to very heavy rain with strong winds for many hours, causing many trees to fall.
Currently, the water level of Kien Giang river is rising very quickly, many sections have overflowed, causing flooding of surrounding houses.
According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from now (October 27) to October 29, floods on rivers in Quang Binh and Quang Tri are likely to reach level 2-3, with some rivers above level 3.
There is a high risk of landslides in mountainous areas, riverbank landslides, localized flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and urban areas in provinces from Quang Binh to Thua Thien - Hue.
