The program is organized to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024); towards the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Party Committee of Hanoi City Agencies (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
Attending the program were Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Youth Union Dao Duc Viet; Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee of Agencies Pham Thi Nguyen Hanh; representatives of Soc Son district leaders; representatives of Dong Xuan commune leaders.
Speaking at the program, Secretary of Soc Son District Youth Union Nguyen Van Tuan said that with the theme "Youth volunteers for community life", Youth Month 2024 clearly demonstrates the determination, sense of responsibility, and readiness to take on difficult tasks that require dedication of time and effort from youth union members; this is an important step forward, determined to well implement the theme of work in 2024, the Year of Youth Volunteers.
“A series of youth projects will be implemented by Soc Son district youth and their sister units and local units. This is a clear demonstration of the pioneering and volunteering spirit of young people in participating in building new, advanced rural areas, protecting the environment, and volunteering for community life,” emphasized Soc Son District Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Van Tuan.
On behalf of the Youth Union of 2 units, the Secretary of Soc Son District Youth Union called on the youth union members to promote the spirit of youth volunteerism and enthusiastically participate in the activities of the Youth Union so that Youth Month 2024 is truly impressive and meaningful.
At the program, Soc Son District Youth Union launched 5 core and typical youth volunteer teams: Youth volunteer team participating in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas; Green Traffic Team; Youth volunteer team participating in supporting the settlement of administrative procedures and digital transformation; Youth volunteer team providing start-up and career counseling; Youth volunteer team supporting the consumption of OCOP products.
On this occasion, the Hanoi City Agencies' Union presented two meaningful youth projects to the youth of Soc Son District and the people of Dong Xuan Commune, including: Youth Project "Lighting up rural traffic with solar energy" worth 30 million VND and Youth Tree Project with 50 Bauhinia trees worth 20 million VND.
