According to Tran Anh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Doan Tung commune, following the district's directive, the locality quickly developed specific plans to implement the breakthrough project on "bright - green - clean - beautiful".

Thanks to the active involvement of the Party committee, government, mass organizations, and the people, the commune has upgraded and expanded 2.7 km of rural roads in a short period of time. 100% of the village cultural houses have been equipped with exercise and sports equipment. Three civilized urban streets and two "bright - green - clean - beautiful" landscape areas have been completed...

"In 2024, the people of the commune voluntarily contributed over 800 man-days and more than 5 billion VND to complete the transportation system, cultural and educational facilities, and improve the environmental landscape. Thanks to this, the appearance of Doan Tung commune is increasingly renewed, befitting a type V urban area. In 2025, with renewed enthusiasm, we will be determined to successfully implement political tasks and socio-economic development targets to build Doan Tung into a town," Mr. Tuan said.

In 2024, Thanh Mien district completed 12.5 km of rural drainage ditches using funds from social contributions.

Thanh Mien is also the only locality in the province where 100% of villages and residential areas have equipment for physical exercise and sports. The entire district has built 25 "Waste-Free Fields" models with an area of ​​over 1,100 hectares, the most in the province. In 2025, Thanh Mien district will continue its breakthrough initiative on "bright, green, clean, and beautiful." However, the district will add criteria for sorting and treating household waste and wastewater before collection. Local authorities will continue to promote awareness and encourage public participation to ensure the breakthrough initiative is implemented effectively and comprehensively. In 2024, following a breakthrough in the "bright - green - clean - beautiful" initiative, Thanh Mien district completed the upgrading of 157 transportation routes with a total length of nearly 29.3 km, at a total cost of over 50 billion VND. 83 street lighting lines, totaling over 30 km in length, were installed; and 28 landscape-enhancing models were created. Social mobilization efforts resulted in the installation of 209 pieces of exercise equipment in all villages and residential areas.

Communes and towns constructed 12.5 km of rural drainage ditches; 25 waste-free zone models covering over 1,100 hectares. They maintained 1,628 self-governing environmental sanitation groups with 1,231 self-managed roads...

The majority of the funding for these projects comes from voluntary contributions from the people.
