BTO-From February 5 to 7, the Fruit Logistica Berlin fruit and vegetable exhibition took place in Germany. For Vietnam, within the framework of the National Trade Promotion Program approved by the Minister of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (Vinafruit) organized for 10 Vietnamese fruit and vegetable import and export enterprises to attend Fruit Logistica 2025, including the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association to attend the fair with the displayed product being fresh dragon fruit.
Talking with Mr. Huynh Canh - Chairman of Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association who is directly participating in the fair, it is known that the display and product introduction area of Vinafruit has a scale of 10 booths. This is the 5th year that the national display area "Fruit of Vietnam" participates in the Fruit Logistica Fair with businesses in the field of production and processing of exported fruits and vegetables. In which the most typical products are mango, longan, dragon fruit, durian, jackfruit, fresh coconut, green-skin grapefruit, passion fruit...
Fruit Logistica 2025 is held in 26 exhibition halls, divided into many specialized areas such as tropical fruits, organic vegetables, post-harvest technology and logistics.
Fruit Logistica is known as one of the world's largest international trade fairs for fresh fruits and vegetables, held annually in February in Berlin, Germany. The event attracts more than 2,600 exhibitors from more than 90 countries around the world. Thereby, it continues to affirm its reputation as the most influential meeting point of the year for suppliers, distributors and experts in the fruit and vegetable industry from all over the world with the aim of promoting trade, cooperation and introducing new products and technologies in the industry.
Through the fair, Vietnamese enterprises in general and the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association in particular have more opportunities to find new customers and strengthen relationships with customers in Europe. From there, it contributes to helping the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable industry, including Binh Thuan dragon fruit, develop more in this "difficult" market. According to the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association, the whole province currently has nearly 27,000 hectares of dragon fruit. Dragon fruit products are exported to countries such as the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, India... and mainly China. In 2024, the export value of dragon fruit in the province is estimated at 9.2 million USD, with a quantity of 8,400 tons, an increase of 13.46% over the same period in 2023.
In recent times, Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association has encouraged its members to participate in a series of events at fairs, exhibitions, displays, introductions, and promotions of dragon fruit products at events inside and outside the province. At the same time, together with members of the Business Association, it has registered to participate in trade promotion activities and fairs abroad organized by the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, the Trade Promotion Agency, and the Department of Industry and Trade to connect, trade, and expand the dragon fruit market.
