Establishment of the Finance Industry Initiative Council

The Minister of Finance has just signed Decision No. 500 on the establishment of the Finance Sector Initiative Council and Decision No. 501 promulgating the operating regulations of the Finance Sector Initiative Council.

According to Decision No. 500, the Finance Sector Initiative Council was established with 20 members, chaired by Mr. Bui Van Khang - Deputy Minister of Finance and a secretariat to assist the council.

The Finance Sector Initiative Council is responsible for advising the Minister on recognizing the effectiveness of application and the ability to replicate initiatives within the ministry and nationwide, and the effectiveness of application and scope of influence of scientific topics, scientific projects, scientific and technological works nationwide as a basis for considering rewards according to regulations.

This Decision takes effect from March 26, 2024, replacing Decision No. 1310 dated June 21, 2023 of the Minister of Finance.

Decision No. 501 clearly states: This Regulation stipulates the tasks, powers, principles, and working regime of the Finance Sector Initiative Council (the Council), the procedure for reviewing and recognizing the effectiveness of application, the ability to replicate initiatives within the ministry, nationwide, and the effectiveness of application, the scope of influence of scientific topics, scientific projects, scientific and technological works nationwide to serve as the basis for considering rewards according to regulations.

The Council appraises, evaluates and considers the level and scope of influence of the initiative on individuals in units under the Ministry of Finance; units under the reward line of the Ministry of Finance.

At the same time, the advisory council submits to the Minister of Finance recognition of the effectiveness of application and the ability to replicate the initiative within the ministry and nationwide, and the effectiveness of application and scope of influence of scientific topics, scientific projects, scientific and technological works nationwide as a basis for considering rewards according to regulations .
