On December 26, the Executive Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee announced the decision to establish the Hoa Lu City Party Committee (Hoa Lu City) on the basis of merging the Ninh Binh City Party Committee and the Hoa Lu District Party Committee, after the National Assembly Standing Committee issued a Resolution on merging Hoa Lu District and Ninh Binh City, establishing Hoa Lu City under Ninh Binh Province.
Mr. Doan Minh Huan, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee (right), presented the decision to establish Hoa Lu City Party Committee.
Accordingly, after being established, the Executive Committee of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term has 67 members; the Standing Committee of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee has 17 members. After being established, the Hoa Lu City Party Committee will have 123 grassroots party organizations with 16,621 party members.
The Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee has appointed Mr. Dinh Van Tien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Ninh Binh City Party Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; appointed Mr. Bui Thien Thi, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Lu District Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hoa Lu District Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Hoa Lu City Party Committee will officially come into operation from January 1, 2025, when the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on merging the two above units takes effect.
Mr. Doan Minh Huan, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the merger of Hoa Lu district with Ninh Binh city to establish Hoa Lu city has great significance, a historical turning point for the Party Committee, government, army and people of Ninh Binh city and Hoa Lu district.
Previously, on December 10, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1318/NQ-UBTVQH15, deciding to establish Hoa Lu City as a new district-level administrative unit of Ninh Binh province on the basis of merging Ninh Binh City and Hoa Lu District.
