Previously, the Economic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police conducted an investigation to collect documents and evidence; at the same time, coordinated an emergency search of 6 locations, including production sites, workplaces, and places where goods were hidden by the subjects in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the provinces of Vinh Phuc, Hung Yen, An Giang, and Dong Thap.
Through that, the police force discovered and recorded a record of confiscating 21 types of modern medicine and fake bone and joint medicine. The functional force also seized raw materials and equipment for the production of fake medicine.
Counterfeit pharmaceutical drugs include:
44 boxes of Tetracycline,
40 boxes of Clorocid medicine,
49 boxes of Pharcoter medicine,
52 boxes of Neo-Codion medicine;
1,232 boxes of joint pain and paralysis pills;
4,122 boxes of Tui Hua Shen Jing Tong;
2,285 boxes of Cordyceps ginseng velvet antler spleen tonic and appetite stimulant great tonic pills;
1,923 boxes of Profeessor's Pill (commonly known as green joints);
5,172 boxes of Mujarhabat Kapsul;
2,017 boxes of Gai Cot Hoan medicine;
930 boxes of Toa Cot Thien Ma Thong Phong Hoan medicine;
6,612 boxes of Snow Lotus Heavenly Demon Treasure Joint Pills;
1,014 boxes of Bach Xa Vuong pain relief medicine;
4,743 boxes of Phong An Aching Tiger Bone Pills;
845 boxes of nasal sinus medicine;
4,012 boxes of Neck and Shoulder Pills;
2,413 boxes of Yuan Bone medicine;
834 boxes of Thoai Cot Hoan Plus medicine;
515 boxes of joint pain relief medicine Hoan Plus;
657 boxes of single degenerative medicine for sciatica.
According to the investigation results, the group led by Nguyen Tien Dat, born in 1991, residing in Hapulico Apartment, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City, colluded with the group led by Trinh Doan Giao, born in 1985, residing in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City, who is the leader of the production and trading of counterfeit medicine for treating diseases and bones and joints.

The subjects invested in purchasing equipment, machinery, pharmaceutical ingredients, medicinal herbs, and herbs of unknown origin; hired workers to mix and grind them into powder, press them into capsules, blister packs, package the finished fake drugs, and sell them on the market through distribution channels. From 2021 until their arrest, the subjects produced and sold a large quantity of fake drugs, illegally earning nearly 200 billion VND.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency has initiated a case and prosecuted 14 subjects related to the production and trading of counterfeit disease prevention and treatment drugs; the investigation is continuing and expanding.
