Strengthening propaganda activities, raising awareness among local government leaders and mass organizations about the necessity of supplementing Vitamin A and micronutrients for children aged 6-60 months and postpartum mothers within one month; promoting communication activities on mass media on preventing and combating micronutrient deficiencies in children and mothers to households; coordinating the implementation of nutrition for children such as organizing reasonable nutritious meals and ensuring food hygiene and safety. According to the plan, the first phase of the Vitamin A supplementation campaign in 2023, in Muong Lat district, 3,540 children aged 24-60 months will take deworming medicine; 4,400 children aged 6-60 months will take Vitamin A and be weighed and measured to assess the rate of malnutrition.

Micronutrient Day Communication Message Responding to Micronutrient Day 2023): Micronutrients are essential for growth, physical development, height and intelligence, improving health and resistance of the body. Take children of the right age to take Vitamin A according to instructions. To prevent and combat micronutrient deficiencies, everyone and every family should: 1. Daily meals need to be varied and combine many types of food; choose and use foods fortified with micronutrients. 2. Breastfeed your baby within the first hour after birth. Breastfeed your baby exclusively for the first 6 months; continue breastfeeding until 24 months of age or beyond. 3. Use locally available micronutrient-rich foods for your child's daily supplementary meals; add fat or cooking oil to enhance the absorption of Vitamin A and Vitamin D. 4.
