On the afternoon of August 20, the Steering Committee of the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024-2025 (referred to as the Provincial Steering Committee) held a conference to evaluate the progress of the campaign. Comrade Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee attended and gave a speech.

Attending the conference were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of provincial departments, agencies; leaders of districts, towns and cities.

After 4 months of implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU dated March 30, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Plan No. 05-KH/BCĐ dated April 10, 2024 of the Steering Committee of the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the 2 years 2024 - 2025, as of August 19, 2024, the total support fund received by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at 3 levels (provincial, district, and commune levels) is more than 122 billion VND. From the funding source, 16 districts, towns, and cities have started construction of new and repaired houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties with a total of 284 houses, of which 243 houses were newly built and 41 houses were repaired.
To achieve the above initial results, based on the actual situation of each locality, unit, districts, towns and cities have developed plans, instructions and specific and appropriate mobilization schemes. Party committees, authorities, agencies, units and enterprises in some localities have focused on leading and directing resolutely, flexibly, with creative and effective ways of doing things, mobilizing a large number of organizations, enterprises, cadres, party members, union members, members of associations, philanthropists and people from all walks of life to actively and effectively participate in responding.

Discussing at the conference, opinions said that the policy of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024 - 2025 is completely correct, has profound humanity, demonstrates the spirit of "mutual love and affection", and is agreed and supported by a large number of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.

Through the implementation process in the locality and unit, opinions also focused on analyzing and clarifying the achieved results, suggesting creative ways of doing things, and pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in the implementation process. The delegates also made a number of recommendations to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee to achieve positive results, striving to complete the goals set out in Directive No. 22-CT/TU dated March 30, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of all levels, sectors, localities, and Steering Committees at all levels who have focused on leading, directing, and organizing the drastic and effective implementation of the campaign in the recent past; at the same time, he sincerely thanked the sentiments, responsibilities, and support of organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and benefactors who have contributed to the initial success of the campaign.
In addition to evaluating the results achieved, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung pointed out that the implementation of the campaign still has some limitations such as: Leadership, direction, dissemination, and implementation of the campaign in some localities, agencies, and units are not resolute, flexible, creative, and effective. Some units have not focused on implementing assigned tasks according to the Steering Committee's Implementation Plan. The work of reviewing, classifying, evaluating, approving, and identifying priority beneficiaries from the campaign is still slow and confusing, and some places have to adjust data many times...

To complete the goal of building at least 5,000 houses before September 2025, contributing practically to welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung requested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, business communities and people of all walks of life in the province continue to thoroughly grasp, focus on leadership, direction and effectively organize the implementation of Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "The campaign to support the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024 - 2025", with the highest determination, greatest efforts and most practical efficiency. This must be considered an important task of great political and social significance, a regular and continuous task of Party committees at all levels, the government, the entire political system and the whole society in the last months of 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025.
Continue to effectively implement Plan No. 05 and Plan No. 15 of the Provincial Steering Committee to continue calling on and mobilizing organizations, businesses, philanthropists, cadres, party members, civil servants, union members, association members, and people of all walks of life to promote the spirit of "mutual love and affection", join hands, contribute efforts, and accompany local Party committees and authorities to support, help, and build houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province. The process of organizing and implementing the mobilization must be flexible, creative, on the principle of voluntariness, creating high consensus among supporters, absolutely not forcing, avoiding overlapping and duplication of areas and subjects. Focus on mobilizing all resources from society, mobilizing households, relatives in the clan, and in residential areas to actively participate in contributing human and material resources to complete the construction and repair of houses for people.
To make the implementation more effective, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and related units to urgently review and make a specific list to advise the Provincial Steering Committee to allocate financial support for poor households, policy households, households with difficult housing circumstances... The Department of Finance urgently advises to issue Guidelines on receiving, managing, allocating, and using funding sources to support the campaign so that localities can implement it in accordance with the provisions of law... The Department of Natural Resources and Environment regularly coordinates with localities to guide and remove obstacles related to land... ensuring timeliness, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at all levels strongly promote their core role, calling on organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to support funding and necessary resources to support housing construction for people.
Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung also requested the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to continue to direct and orient news agencies and newspapers to increase information and propaganda about the purpose, meaning and objectives of the campaign. Build special pages, columns, topics, and reports to propagate and replicate good and effective practices and typical examples in implementing the campaign throughout the province. Timely commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign.
