Since the beginning of the year, when the export market has recovered, this textile and garment enterprise has exported many large, high-value shipments to the US and some European countries.

The business representative said that the unit always receives active support from the Customs authority in the process of carrying out procedures, resolving problems arising related to new legal policies, creating convenient and quick customs clearance of goods, helping to save time and promptly supporting businesses to meet delivery conditions for partners.

Mr. Nguyen Van Do, Chairman of the Board of Members of DehanGlobal Company, Thanh Hoa province
Mr. Nguyen Van Do, Chairman of the Board of Members of DehanGlobal Company, Thanh Hoa province said, Thanh Hoa Customs supports businesses very well. Sometimes, when goods arrive late at night, the Customs agency is willing to work overtime so that we can catch the train on time. The unit also receives active support from the Customs agency during the procedure, helping to save time.
In the first quarter of 2024, budget revenue from import-export activities in Thanh Hoa province increased, mainly due to value-added tax revenue from imported crude oil of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited, accounting for over 83% of total budget revenue. The remaining revenue comes from other imported goods such as machinery and equipment, coal, production materials, fabrics and sewing accessories; export goods such as wood chips, white stone, clinker, textiles, etc. Total import-export turnover reached over 3.6 billion USD, an increase of 21% over the same period.

The above results are achieved because Thanh Hoa Customs Department regularly inspects, monitors and directs its subordinate Customs Sub-Departments to properly implement legal policies and customs procedures. Timely resolves and handles problems arising during the procedure process, without any remaining problems, facilitating import and export activities; encourages businesses to voluntarily comply with customs laws. At the same time, implementing electronic customs procedures contributes to transparency in professional stages, simplifies procedures and shortens customs clearance time, creating favorable conditions for businesses to participate in import and export activities in the province.

Mr. Ngo Van Thanh, Head of Thanh Hoa Port Customs Branch
Mr. Ngo Van Thanh, Head of Thanh Hoa Port Customs Branch said: "We have actively supported businesses in import and export and attracted businesses to invest, implemented professional solutions in management and support for businesses, directly went to businesses to promptly remove obstacles, and quickly improve customs clearance index."
The task of collecting the State budget from import and export activities in the coming time still faces many difficulties and challenges. In the province, the structure of revenue from import and export goods is not diversified; attracting and mobilizing large enterprises in the province and enterprises in neighboring provinces to register for import and export procedures for transporting goods by container through Nghi Son seaport at Nghi Son port Customs Branch to increase revenue has not really brought high efficiency, the number of newly registered enterprises is mostly small-scale enterprises, so their contribution to the budget is not significant. Therefore, Thanh Hoa Customs Department continues to review, forecast and evaluate factors affecting revenue, thereby implementing solutions to ensure increased revenue for the state budget.
Ms. Vu Thi Huong, Deputy Head of Professional Department, Thanh Hoa Provincial Customs Department
In 2024, Thanh Hoa Customs Department was assigned by the Prime Minister to collect VND 13,550 billion for the state budget. The estimated cumulative state budget revenue by the end of the second quarter is estimated to reach over VND 9,500 billion, reaching 70.5% of the assigned target, up over 7% over the same period.

To achieve the above goals, Thanh Hoa Customs Department is continuing to reform administration, facilitate trade; promote and mobilize enterprises to carry out customs procedures at the unit; strengthen post-clearance inspection, combat smuggling, trade fraud, and prevent loss of state budget revenue. Thereby, improving the effectiveness of state management, supporting enterprises to stabilize production and business activities, contributing to increasing revenue to the state budget.
