Thanh Hoa adjusts investment capital for Voi - Sam Son intersection road project to 1,497 billion VND

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just approved adjusting the investment capital for the Voi intersection road project (Thanh Hoa City) to Sam Son City from VND 1,360 billion to VND 1,497 billion.

According to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, this adjustment is to meet actual traffic requirements and planning, the traffic route from Voi intersection (Thanh Hoa city) to Sam Son city.

After adjustment, the total investment capital of the project increased from over VND 1,360 billion to VND 1,497 billion. Of the new total investment, construction costs accounted for a large proportion with over VND 992 billion, an increase of over VND 165 billion. Meanwhile, site clearance costs were recorded at VND 405 billion, a decrease of VND 31.6 billion. The project is required to be completed in 2025.

According to the report, the traffic route from Voi intersection to Sam Son city is the main urban street, connecting large-scale urban areas and coastal tourist areas.

However, the investment scale of the section Km2+351 – Km8+500 is not complete compared to the planning and is not synchronized with the investment scale of the beginning and end of the route. Specifically, the road section is narrow, there is no investment in sidewalks, median strips, drainage systems, lighting systems, etc. Some locations have flooded roads during the rainy season, affecting the environment and traffic conditions on the route.

Meanwhile, some tunnel items along the Km8+500 – Km11+743 section do not really need to be fully invested in at the present stage, because the infrastructure of residential areas and urban areas along both sides of the route is still sparse, and the need for connecting technical infrastructure is not high.

On that basis, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee decided to invest in completing the section Km2+351 - Km8+500 according to the planning. At the same time, the tunnel system design along the section Km8+500 - Km11+743 was adjusted to save costs and improve investment efficiency.

After adjusting the route, the investment will complete the cross-section of the entire route from Km2+351 – Km11+743 according to the approved planning, including: road surface Bm=2x12m=24m, median strip Bpc=5m, sidewalk 2×7.5m=15m, drainage system, technical infrastructure, lighting, trees.

Adjust the technical tunnel system along both sides of the road from reinforced concrete box culverts with a cross-section of 2x2m to circular reinforced concrete culverts with a diameter of 0.6m; adjust the wastewater drainage system from circular reinforced concrete culverts with a diameter of 0.3m to brick box trenches with a width of 0.4m.

It is known that the Voi – Sam Son intersection road project is funded from the provincial budget. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025.
