Man City's superiority and constant pressure prevented Fluminense from causing any surprises. Coach Pep Guardiola and his team then forced their opponents into a "disruptive" situation in the final minutes.
Phil Foden made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute with a cool finish from Julian Alvarez's cross. In the 88th minute, Julian Alvarez completed a brace against Fluminense, sealing a 4-0 win for Man City.
With a resounding victory over Fluminense, Man City won the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time. Pep Guardiola's team also completed a "quintuple" of: Premier League, FA Cup, European Cup 1, European Super Cup and FIFA Clip World Cup.
